Review: The Artist’s Table is Serving Up Returning Favorites in EPCOT

It feels like we were just enjoying the final few days of EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays…oh right, that’s because we WERE just enjoying the Festival of the Holidays just over a week ago! Believe it or not, we’ve already moved on to the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and we are LIVE with this year’s culinary, visual, and performing art celebration!

2021 Festival of the Arts

The main attraction at any EPCOT festival is the food, of course, so let’s head over to The Artist’s Table in the American Adventure Pavilion to see what we could find!

Located in the heart of World Showcase, The Artist’s Table is tucked on the righthand side of the American Adventure Pavilion in a colonial-style brick booth.

The Artist’s Table

The Artist’s Table has several returning dishes from previous years, so fans wanting to re-visit some of their favorite food items will have a chance to do so in 2021!

2021 Menu

Let’s dig in and see what the booth has in store for us this year!

Food

As is the case with the American Adventure booth across all of EPCOT’s festivals, you’ll find some familiar savory dishes, like their Beef Wellington for $8.25. (We won’t tell them this dish originated in England if you don’t! Technically, so did all of America!) It’s served with Mushroom Duxelle, Prosciutto, and Puff Pastry with Red Wine Demi-Glace and Fennel Cream. This was a winner for us in the past, but how does this year’s version compare?

Beef Wellington

We’re happy to report that the Beef Wellington is still completely delish! It’s a hunk of tenderloin wrapped in dough with gravy so ummm…yea, we liked it. It’s cooked perfectly, and that crust had a great flavor. The mushroom duxelle added a nice richness to the meat and went great with the Demi-Glace. Our only complaint concerns the vegetables — we wish they weren’t pickled. If you liked pickled things, though, those veggies just might be the perfect accompaniment.

Also back this year at The Artist’s Table is their Pan-Seared Scallop with Chorizo, Roasted Red Pepper Coulis and a Parmesan Crisp. This has been at the Fest since it first started! The Chorizo isn’t particularly spicy and the scallop it usually cooked well. There’s a lot of flavor going on in this one! We’ll just come out and say it, the parmesan crisp looks like the scallop is wearing a fancy little hat and we’re into it. This dish is available for $7.

For those with a sweet tooth, you can also pick up the returning Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate-Chip Cookie.

It literally looks like a large artist palette, but of course this one is edible. Grab one for $5.50 and get to painting your own masterpiece with the icing!

Beverages

The Artist’s Table has a variety of wines and beers available for purchase. This year, they added a new wine to their menu: Writer’s Block Pinot Noir from Lake County, CA, for $7. Although some Pinot Noirs can be dry, this one was a perfect blend of not-too-dry and not-too-sweet. It paired really well with the beef!

If you’re looking to try all things chocolate at this year’s Festival of the Arts, this booth has a couple of options for you! You can sample the Symphony in Chocolate Flight, which includes Mozart Cream Liqueurs paired with Sipping Chocolates for $13. For those looking for non-alcoholic options, the Sipping Chocolate Flight has returned this year as well for $8.25. This was a 2020 Best of the Fest selection and we’re thrilled it’s back!

Sipping Chocolate Flight

The Artist’s Table has some solid options, especially that beef and the sipping chocolate. Stop by the booth during your next visit and revisit these food and drink items if you enjoyed them in the past!
