What’s New at EPCOT: Construction Updates, Merchandise Mobile Checkout, and Newsworthy Pins!
We’re heading out to EPCOT to see what new additions we can find around the park!
Hello, fellow world travelers! We’re heading to EPCOT to check out all of the latest food, construction, and merchandise updates since our last visit. Let’s dive in!
EPCOT Food Updates
Chefs de France
While Monsieur Paul Restaurant in the France Pavilion is still closed, a Cast Member at Chefs de France told us that the Monsieur Paul dining room is being used for overflow seating for Chefs de France during busy hours.
Since Monsieur Paul is located upstairs from Chefs de France, is a close location for the restaurant to use for extra seating for the time.
Check out our review from the reopened Chefs de France!
EPCOT Construction Updates
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Construction is continuing on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Wood panels have been added to the roof.
Currently, the new attraction is set to open in 2021 for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.

Space 220
We’re still anxiously awaiting the opening of Space 220, the new restaurant that will take guests on a dining adventure high above Earth! The sign for the restaurant is located by Mission: SPACE, but when we swung by, it was still covered up.
We’ll be keeping a close eye out for any additional updates on Space 220, so stay tuned!

EPCOT Merchandise Updates
Mouse Gear
In Mouse Gear, we noticed signage about the new Mobile Checkout option placed throughout the store.
This new option is still in the testing phase, so it’s only available at a few select locations at the moment.
With Mobile Checkout, guests are able to pay for their purchases within the My Disney Experience app, without having to wait in line at the checkout counter.

Pin Traders — Camera Center
We spotted some awesome Newspaper Headline Pins at the Pin Traders — Camera Center location in Future World! There’s one featuring the Millennium Celebration…
…and one celebrating Disney Villains.
Both pins are priced at $17.99.
Here’s a closer look at the new pins!
Plume et Palette
While the perfume shop in the France Pavilion, Plume et Palette, is still closed, we did spot some holiday decorations in the window.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for any changes to the shops and restaurants that are currently available!
4 Magic Kingdom attractions will be closed this week!
And that does it for our latest round of updates from EPCOT! Of course, we’ll continue to visit all of the parks and resorts to check out the newest additions, so stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World news!
