10,000 People Voted on Whether They’d Take the NEW High-Speed Train to Disney World. Would You?

When you’re traveling to Disney World for a magical vacation, it’s easy to get impatient! If you’re like us and you want to get to your happy place as fast as you possibly can, then Disney and Brightline may have come up with a solution.

Disney recently announced that they had reached an agreement with Brightline to build a near-high-speed rail station at Disney Springs! This new mode of transportation was rumored last year, but it has finally been confirmed. This new track will connect Disney Springs to the Orlando International Airport, but will guests actually use it? Our readers are quite the group of travelers, so we decided to ask them “Would you ride the train to Disney World?”

The concept for the train station’s design will include an upper-level train platform with a lower level for a lobby and passenger facilities. This train would provide a car-free connection to Walt Disney World for the millions of visitors each year, and would even connect to other parts of the state! The completed line will have stops in West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale on the way to a final destination in Miami, FL.

Brightline also has plans to expand the line towards Tampa, as seen in the map below. The Disney Springs station would be a stop on this pathway.

With a new transportation option from the Orlando airport and many of Florida’s major cities, we decided to ask our readers whether or not they would want to take advantage of this service. Over 10,000 people responded to our poll, and the results were heavily in favor of the station, with 88% of respondents saying they would likely want to use the new train!

Disney currently offers Disney’s Magical Express for resort guests traveling from MCO, but this could be an additional option for those who would like a more luxury experience. The trains are reported to have a variety of amenities, including complimentary wifi, hand-stitched leather seats, multiple outlets in each seat, and food and beverage options. Brightline’s website also shares that their trains are pet-friendly.

As we get more information on this new mode of transportation, we’ll make sure to share the news! This could be a really exciting update for Disney World, as it will help guests travel to the parks even easier and more comfortably.
