You Can See Naked Mole Rats and Snakes Again at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is so much fun — it’s part theme park and part zoo!

And we LOVE seeing all the animals, especially the cute little baby animals born at the park. But one part of the park where we could see smaller animals has been closed since Disney World reopened.
Today, though, we noticed this area was open again! We’re talking about the research building portion of Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. This spot takes you inside to look at the smaller animals, like the naked mole rats, turtles, snakes, and lizards!

A Cast Member told us they had been experimenting for a few weeks on how best to let guests into the area, while also maintaining social distancing. We were told if it gets too crowded, the area may close again, though. Look, a turtle!

And as we previously mentioned, we said hello to those sweet little naked mole rats.

Of course, Gorilla Falls is known mostly for its gorillas, and this area remains open to guests who want to see the gorilla family. The line can be bypassed, though, for those who aren’t interested. From what we’ve seen, the line can get pretty long at times.

But how could you skip this? We certainly couldn’t!

This sweet little family is always worth waiting in a line for. We’re at Animal Kingdom all day, so we’ll let you know if we spot any other changes!
