PHOTOS: The Friendship Boats Have Resumed Service in Disney World!
Hello, friends!!! Wowza, it’s been a majorly crazy year, but slowly things are starting to look a little more “normal” around Disney World.
Previously closed restaurants and hotels are reopening around property, and today the Friendship Boats have resumed service in Disney World.
The Friendship Boats are great for guests staying at resorts like the Yacht & Beach Club, the Boardwalk, or Swan & Dolphin since they can transport those guests to and from EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
We have seen these boats being tested throughout EPCOT for quite some time, but today they’re officially back in business. YAY!
As you are in line to board, there are hand sanitizer dispensers for guests to use.
There are also plenty of distancing markers to keep parties separate while waiting to board.
Once onboard, we found that the back section has been marked off in the middle to keep riders distanced. This means that capacity is slightly reduced, so it may take a little longer to get on a boat than before.
That being said, all rows are open for guests because of the dividers between each row. A good amount of guests can still fit on the boat!
We also happened to get an incredible sunset view on our boat ride! The boats currently run until about an hour after park close.
Lots of changes are happening around the parks, and we are doing our best to make sure that you all stay in the know. So if you have any questions about the new policies and procedures in the parks or what’s open and closed, just let us know! We will continue to keep you updated on the latest Disney news.
