Disney World has many international guests visit the parks every year.

The international travel ban, due to the current global health pandemic, has made it difficult for Disney fans abroad to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth. The U.S. is currently working on lifting one of those travel bans.

According to the Wall Street Journal, U.S. officials are aiming to open travel between New York City and London by the holidays this year. With more availability of coronavirus testing, the U.S. has put forth effort to establish safe travel guidelines between the itself and other countries like the U.K.

This plan includes travelers being tested for coronavirus before and after their flight. This way, after arrival, a shorter quarantine time could be put in place. Some officials are in favor to limited quarantine to 24 hours, while others prefer a 4-7 day quarantine. These are key details that need to be figured out before the U.S. could agree to a solid plan.

Currently, Americans traveling to the U.K. must self-quarantine for 14 days and the U.S. has blocked travelers from the U.K. unless they are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Both countries are hoping to instill this new plan by the holiday season. This plan would only affect flights between New York and London at the moment, but they are hoping to add at least one more city. As always, we will keep you updated on the latest travel news.
