What’s New at Magic Kingdom: Distance Markers on Main Street, Hats for Skippers, and Gear for Halloween AND the Holidays!
It was a cloudy day in Disney World…
… but that didn’t keep us from feeling the MAGIC in Magic Kingdom, where we strolled right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. — and everywhere else in the park, too, of course! — to show YOU what’s NEW!
Let’s go!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Ok, so this isn’t exactly new (especially since Pumpkin Spice Lattes already hit the scene last week, and we’ve had… oh, a FEW )… but is there any better combo than your favorite Starbucks coffee drink and Cinderella Castle?
I think not. Moving into Tomorrowland, something new did draw our eyes…
Over at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, we spotted a menu posted outside this soft-serve spot.
If you’ve ever paid a visit to Auntie, you know this counter service location is rather small, so perhaps this is meant to encourage guests to peruse the menu outside before entering in order to maintain physical distancing within the snack stop itself.
Speaking of physical distancing…
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Main Street, U.S.A.
If you’ve been virtually hanging out with us in Magic Kingdom recently, you may recall that Main Street, U.S.A. was sporting some masking tape recently to denote physical distancing markers.
These had been added so guests could maintain safe distances from each other while enjoying the completely charming Character Cavalcades that take place throughout the day!
Well, it seems like the sticky tape wasn’t doing the whole trick, as easier-to-spot (and stick, we presume) green distancing dots have been added along Main Street on the Emporium’s side.
Now let’s check in on the talk of the town…
TRON Lightcycle Run
Say “hello” to all the twists and turns that will ultimately make up TRON Lightcycle Run in Tomorrowland…
And you can take an even closer look here!
Even though TRON Lightcycle Run isn’t set to open until next year during Disney World’s 50th anniversary, we love checking in on the site, and we hope you enjoy “visiting” along with us!

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Update
Emporium
Trick or Treat?! Mickey and Minnie Jack-o’-Lantern containers filled with candy corn (regular for Mickey, gummi for Minnie) have arrived at the Emporium for the spooky (or not-so-spooky) season!
We also spotted these adorable buckets at the Main Street Confectionery.
BOO to you, too, Mickey!
See the Halloween candy containers here!
The spotlight is also shining on Minnie with these new-to-us mugs.
No matter which design you choose, Minnie’s signature bow sets the scene for this fashionista, as always!
The “Put a Bow On It” Mug is $19.99.
And the Minnie Mouse mug dotted with bows inside is $22.99.
As for Minnie’s Main Mouse, Mickey…
Star Traders
He’s all set to join the Treat Squad, on this new t-shirt!
We spotted it for $39.99 at Star Traders in Tomorrowland. We’ll welcome you to our squad anytime, Mickey!
Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar
Over in Adventureland, we lost our heads over this new Jungle Cruise Hat!
This hat features all sorts of hidden treasures… in the form of Jungle Cruise scenes and sayings tucked under the brim!
It’s $39.99 at Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, but cast members said it might not last too long on the shelves.
Check out the new Jungle Cruise Hat — and all the hidden gags — here!
Memento Mori
Folks were lining up outside Memento Mori, what with distancing measures in place at merchandise locations around the parks, too.
Inside, we found the Haunted Mansion Ornaments Box Set, which is worth noting since the set sold out in Disney Springs.
This set ($39.99) glows in the dark, y’all! And you can see a lot more Haunted Mansion merchandise that has recently materialized in the parks and online here.

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
While we’re counting down the days until Halloween, there’s one place in Magic Kingdom where they’re already counting down for Christmas…
…and that, of course, is Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square!
This new Countdown to Christmas display is $49.99.
And Clarabelle Cow is joining in the festive fun on this Holiday Cheer platter ($34.99)!
And we were so excited to see the Legacy Sketchbook Ornaments that we previously spotted online at the Christmas Shoppe, too!
Each one is inspired by Disney artist sketchbook designs honoring classic Disney and Pixar films and their milestone anniversaries.
Oh, my… they are lovely.
It’s so fun to find rarely seen characters featured within the collection, like Bianca and Bernard from The Rescuers Down Under.
“PULL THE LEVER, KRONK!”
Though prices can vary, most in the collection above are $24.99. You can even find lots of them on shopDisney.
Check out more details for the Sketchbook Ornaments here!
And with that, we wish you a happy start to September from Magic Kingdom… where it will be Halloween before you know it! (No, really! Check it out here!) We can’t wait to come back for the official kick-off of the Spooky Season… and we hope you’ll stick with us for even more fun until then! For now, we’ll see ya real soon!
