What’s New at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Yacht and Beach Club, and Wilderness Resorts: Apple Fritters, Coconut Macaroons, and a Minnie ID Holder!
While several Disney World resorts remain closed, others have been open for a while or have just recently reopened.
We’ve loved visiting some of our favorite spots and seeing what’s new. Recently, we made a trip around to some more of our favorite hotels and some of the areas around them — check out what new things we found!
Disney’s BoardWalk — General Updates
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is still closed at the moment and does not yet have a reopening date set, but Disney’s BoardWalk Villas are open.
At the BoardWalk Villas, we saw a sign indicating when the Movie Under the Stars would be showing that week.
Near Leaping Horse Libations, we also found a cute sign showing the operating hours for the theme parks, Luna Park, and Leaping Horse Libations, as well as details on that night’s special movie.
Disney’s BoardWalk Food Updates
Screen Door General Store
As we strolled around the BoardWalk, beyond the hotel itself, we found a special Labor Day Slush over at Screen Door General Store.
This one featured layers of Fruit Punch, Lemonade, and Mountain Berry Powerade.
YUM!

Leaping Horse Libations
Over at Leaping Horse Libations, we found a somewhat similar looking drink with some different ingredients.
The Labor Day Chiller featured Bacardi Raspberry Rum and Blue Curacao, blended with flavors of Coconut, Pineapple, and Raspberry Puree.
Also at Leaping Horse Libations, we saw the Carnival Nachos were available.
We tasted these back in early August.

BoardWalk Bakery
At the BoardWalk Bakery, we munched away on the the new, limited time Apple Fritter!
From the icing…
…to the big chunks of apple inside the surprisingly moist fritter, this treat was a true delight!
Click here to check out our full review of the Apple Fritter!
We also saw that Coconut Macaroons have made their way back to the Bakery.
And, the sugar cookies available had a red, white, and blue icing drizzle in celebration of Labor Day.
Disney’s BoardWalk Merchandise Update
Screen Door General Store
At Screen Door, we found that the Halloween refillable mugs were available…
…as well as some fun Halloween merchandise.
Aside from the new Labor Day treats, there weren’t too many changes at Disney’s BoardWalk, but we still had a wonderful time strolling around the area.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort — General Updates
As we walked into the Beach Club, we noticed some fun Marvel trivia on this board. How well do you know your superheroes?
We also saw quite a few guests were enjoying Stormalong Bay, which recently reopened.
Looks like a perfect day for a dip in the pool!
Beach Club Construction Updates
The Beach Club Marketplace
The Beach Club Marketplace is still under construction. But, you can head over to The Solarium for the time being to grab select merchandise, food, and beverage items.
Walkway Near Seaside Retreat
As we walked around, we also noticed that the walkway near Seaside Retreat was blocked off.
It appears it has been blocked off to allow some renovations to take place.
We’ll keep an eye on this project. Peep the hidden Mickey in the carpet!
Beach Club Merchandise Updates
The Solarium
For the time being, The Solarium is being temporarily used to house and sell items that would normally be in the Beach Club Marketplace. We saw that some Halloween merchandise was available there.
As well as some Disney Cloth Face Masks.
We’ve seen lots of new Disney face masks lately, so we’ll definitely be looking for more new designs around the parks and resorts.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort — General Updates
For both the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, we saw a recreation sign detailing when the Movie Under the Stars would be playing this week. What a fun and magical way to end an evening in Disney World.
We also saw a sign indicating that the Friendship Boats still are not operating.
We’ll definitely keep an eye out for any updates regarding when those boats will return.
Yacht Club Merchandise Updates
The Market at Ale & Compass
Over at the neighboring Yacht Club Resort, we found a new-to-us Minnie ID Holder at The Market at Ale & Compass.
We love Minnie’s classic look with her big red bow.
And you can see her classic polka dot pattern on the inside.
It’s a great way to add a little magic to your style!
You can grab this ID holder for $17.99.
Yacht Club Construction Updates
Front Desk
We also got a look at the ongoing construction near the front desk at the Yacht Club.
Quite a few areas are blocked off as part of the construction.
But you can still sit around the Lobby.
Guests are directed to use the Bell Services desk for all their Guest Relations-related needs.
We did see quite a few quests there, speaking with the Cast Members.
We’ll keep an eye on this construction and let you know if we spot anything new.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds — General Updates
We were in the mood for a bit of an adventure so we left the world of yachts and beaches for some good ‘ole wilderness fun at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds.
There, we found a Movie Under the Stars schedule for that resort — ooOooo Meet the Robinsons is showing some nights, so fun!
We also spotted some families using the Assay Station. If you’re looking for this spot, it’s near the Meadow pool and the Bike Barn.
To use this, you’ll first need to grab a bag of mining rough enriched with real gemstones. You can get this bag from the Bike Barn window.
Then, you place part of the rough from the bag in a screen bottom box.
Finally, you dip the box in the sluice and watch the gemstones pop up as the soil washes away!
Sounds like an incredibly fun activity!
Fort Wilderness Merchandise Updates
Meadow Trading Post
We also spotted some new-to-us merchandise at Meadow Trading Post, but a kind Cast Member told us these items debuted at the end of last year. Still, they were absolutely adorable! There was a Fort Wilderness mug…
…a cute shirt showing Mickey and friends at their campsite…
…and this fun shirt featuring Chip ‘n’ Dale. We’ll always take s’more delicious snacks over at Fort Wilderness.
Speaking of s’mores, we found all the supplies you’ll need for a s’mores adventure at your campsite in Meadow Trading Post.
We also spotted all of this adorable Fort Wilderness merchandise.
Looks like fall has made its way over to the campgrounds as well. Mickey, and Chip ‘n’ Dale have found lots of pumpkins to carve.
And even some Halloween merchandise has made its way over there.
You can have some spooky fun in this shop.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge — General Updates
Over at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge we really didn’t find too many new things.
But, of course, the Lodge was looking as beautiful as ever on the inside…
…and the outside!
It’s such a beautiful resort.
Wilderness Lodge Merchandise Updates
Wilderness Lodge Mercantile
But, we did see that quite a few of the new Wishables, including the Jungle Cruise collection, had made their way over to Wilderness Lodge Mercantile.
Some Halloween merchandise was also available there.
Well, that’s all the news we’ve got from our trip around these resorts. We’ll keep making more trips to our favorite resorts and let you know what we see!
