Hey DFB friends! We’re back with all of the latest updates from Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We recently took a trip to Animal Kingdom to see what new treats and treasures we could find! Let’s take a look at all of the latest food, merchandise, and construction updates since our last visit!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Creature Comforts
We found several new tasty Halloween treats in Animal Kingdom, including the Scar Cupcake at Creature Comforts!
This red velvet cupcake is filled with toasted marshmallow and topped with chocolate marshmallow frosting, chocolate krispies, white chocolate flames with green coloring, and an edible Scar topping. You can snag this baddie for $5.99!

Isle of Java
Our Halloween treat trail continued at Isle of Java where we found the new Spooky Apple Punch!
This non-alcoholic concoction is a mixture of Sprite and Monin Apple Syrup, and it’s garnished with a rocky candy apple straw, gummy worm, and a sugar lime rim. You can grab this drink for $5.99, or $9.99 if you choose to add a Poison Apple Glow Cube! You can also get this drink at Flame Tree Barbecue.

Flame Tree Barbecue
Speaking of Flame Tree Barbecue, that’s where we found the new boozy Halloween beverage, the Rotten Apple!

While neither of these is a brand new addition, we did spot the Purple Cauldron Popcorn Bucket…
…and Tire Pumpkin Straw available at several snack kiosks throughout the park!
So, if you’re looking for a spooky souvenir, these cuties are still up for grabs!

Animal Kingdom Construction Updates
Wilderness Explorers
Wilderness Explorers is an interactive experience where kids can complete activities and collect badges throughout Animal Kingdom.
We spotted Cast Members placing new social distancing markers on the ground near the registration post as we walked past it in the morning.
Wilderness Explorers has been available since the park reopening if you or your kiddos want to take advantage of this free Animal Kingdom activity!
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Mombasa Marketplace
We spotted the new Halloween face masks in stock at Mombasa Marketplace.
These designs are made with a different fabric than the original Disney-branded masks, and the new fabric has a lighter feel.
The face masks are available for $6 each.

Island Mercantile
When we first arrived at the park, Island Mercantile was closed, but the store was opened by noon.
We asked a Cast Member about the hours at Island Mercantile, and they informed us that the store should be operating with the same hours as the park “soon,” although they weren’t sure exactly when this will take effect.
Multiple Locations
Who’s ready for a Disney deal?? We spotted Goofy’s Candy Co, Chip & Dale Snacks, and Chocolate Factory packaged treats on sale for buy one, get one free!
Guests are able to mix and match for the sale.
We also noticed the same sale happening in other parks as well!
