Wait, Colored Sugar Costs HOW MUCH EXTRA? This Halloween Treat in Disney World is Actually a Trick!

As far as iconic Disney snacks go, we’d say churros are definitely up there!

And much like some of our other Disney World favorites like popcorn buckets and cupcakes, churros have also recently received a Halloween makeover! But the festive sugar coating on the new Black and Orange Churros wasn’t the only spooky thing about this treat!

We’ve been on a mission to try alllll of the seasonal treats in Disney World! So, we stopped by the Castle Hub Refreshment Cart on our most recent visit to Magic Kingdom to get our spooky snackin’ on!

Here, we found the Halloween-themed Black and Orange Churros which can be served in an Oogie Boogie or Mickey Pumpkin Balloon Bucket if you REALLY want to get in the spirit! If you choose to snag a seasonal bucket, you’ll get TWO Black and Orango Churros and the bucket for $22.

But, if you’re looking to save a little cash (and room for more snacks!) you can snag just an individual Black and Orange Churro for $7.25. And that’s what has us saying, “what’s this??”

A regular churro will run you $6.50 and it’s pretty much the same as the seasonal option, just without the black and orange colored sugar. So, you’ll pay $0.75 extra per churro for that extra pop of color on the Halloween-themed version!

The Black and Orange Churros were definitely tasty, and they might be a good option if you’re looking to get some cool Instagram pictures in front of the castle. But if you’re not worried about the aesthetics, we would opt for a regular churro instead, since all you’re really paying for with the upgrade is the colorful sugar! That way, you can splurge on some of the other awesome Halloween treats like the Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcake or the Hades Nachos!
