Review: This Pumpkin-Spiced Snack Has Made an Early Autumn Return to Disney World…and It’s Better Than Ever!
Well, well, well… it’s been quite the day already at Magic Kingdom’s Sleepy Hollow Refreshments! ICYMI, the highly anticipated Madame Leota Sipper Cup hit the Halloween scene early at this counter service spot.
She wasn’t due to materialize until September 8th — along with lots of other fall snacks and novelty items around Disney World. But, lo and behold, while we lined up anxiously awaiting our new spirited sipper… we found another early autumn arrival here! The Pumpkin-spiced Mickey Waffle Sundae is back at Sleepy Hollow, too!
This Magic Kingdom fall snacking tradition adds a bit o’ pumpkin spice to two adorable Mickey Waffles.
The waffles are topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, then drizzled with caramel and doused with seasonal sprinkles.
Seriously, check ’em out…. Little ghosties, pumpkins, and bats really lend this treat some extra fall flair!
Now, we couldn’t help but notice a tiny change to this treat from previous years right off the bat (no pun-intended ), with a new serving style in a paper boat (as opposed to a plate).
More importantly, though, we noticed an even bigger difference when we dug into the sundae.

You see, in previous years, we always felt like the waffles held a lot of promise… but didn’t tend to deliver the pumpkin-spiced punch we’d hoped for. But we are thrilled to say that this year, the pumpkin flavor is much more pronounced in the waffles! So much so, in fact, that we’d consider ordering up the waffles even without the ice cream because they are just that good on their own!
So we are very happy to report that the Pumpkin-spiced Mickey Waffle Sundae is back at Magic Kingdom and really delivering on that pumpkin promise this year! You’ll find it at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments for $6.49, and it’s a great way to kick off this surprising early return of fall flavors to the park. We’ll be bringing you much more in the way of fall fun today from Walt Disney World, and we look forward to taking you along with us both today and throughout all the rest of the Spooky Season!
