Photos! See What the Area Surrounding the New Ratatouille Ride in Disney World Looks Like NOW
EPCOT is undergoing quite the transformation at the moment.
From new rides to new pylons, we’re really looking forward to seeing all of the new experiences that will eventually be available at EPCOT. Just yesterday, we flew past EPCOT in the Disney Skyliner and got a peek at the construction going on in the France pavilion.
As part of the EPCOT transformation, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction and a new restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris, will be opening in the France pavilion! Our ride in the Disney Skyliner really gave us some great views of the construction in that new area. Click here to check out what it looked like the last time we flew past it. It looks like things are really moving along nicely.
The trees are looking great and the exterior of the buildings are all looking wonderful.
We spotted a cute fountain in an area where some Cast Members are still actively working. Look for it in the bottom left of the photo below.
Seems like construction is still pretty active in this area. There are Cast Members and construction equipment around this spot.
It also looks like some more railings were installed around some of the balconies to complete their look. We’d love to see little flowers or plants hanging from those balconies to really give them a lived-in feel.
We also got a little bit of a clearer look at the pathway through the trees in this area. The walkway is looking really nice. We cannot wait to stroll down these streets with a crepe in hand from the new crêperie. It looks like some of the construction materials that were on the roof in the bottom right corner of the photo below have also been removed and other parts of the roof have been cleaned up and finished.
You can get a little bit better look at that fountain at the end of this walkway and see the Gusteau’s sign in the distance.
There was a tarp and more construction equipment on the pathway before, but it looks like quite a bit of that has been removed. It looks like a lamppost is still laying on the floor, waiting to be installed, but a lot of the construction material that was near the buildings has been removed.
We’re excited to step into this area and really immerse ourselves in the story.
This area was originally scheduled to open this summer, but it’s tough to say if it will still be opening in that same time frame. We’ll keep flying over this area to see if we can spot anything new, and, of course, we’ll keep you up to date on all the latest news!
