NEWS! Downtown Disney Hitting Capacity During California’s Triple Digit Heat Wave Today!

California is hitting triple digit temperatures with the sun shining bright for Labor Day Weekend (make sure to pack oodles of sunscreen and WATER, Cali friends). If a weekend trip to Downtown Disney was part of your plans for the holiday weekend, you’ll want this heads up!
Disneyland has issued a statement that they expect to see more guests than usual in the shopping and dining district this Labor Day weekend.
We’re expecting increased interest to visit #DowntownDisney this Labor Day weekend. Please allow extra time for your arrival. Due to limited capacity, we may need to pause parking and pedestrian entry. Guests with dining reservations will be accommodated during this time. pic.twitter.com/28Qc3A3Is6

Downtown Disney has periodically been stopping its access to parking lots and entrances throughout the day whenever crowds are at capacity in the area. Since lines are long to get into the district, capacity continues to keep fluctuating (even though there are A LOT of people there today). Disneyland has stated that if capacity is reached, only guests with Dining Reservations will be permitted to enter until the crowd levels lower.
Downtown Disney Update: Due to limited capacity, we are occasionally pausing parking and entry into #DowntownDisney. Only Guests with dining reservations will be accommodated during this time. General entry will resume as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!

If you’re going to Disneyland today, be warned that it’s one HOT and crazy busy day! But, if you’re really set on heading to Downtown Disney, make sure to pack hats, sunscreen, and a water bottle for your Labor Day Weekend visit (and be prepared for a possible wait!).
