What’s New at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Pumpkin Spice Lattes Return, New Ears, and a Preview of Mulan!
Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
And, we’ve got plenty of merchandise, food, entertainment, and construction to share with you, so let’s dive right on in!
EPCOT Merchandise Update
Mouse Gear
Although Disney World shakes things up with newer color trends and a whole batch of Halloween ears, we LOVE when Disney redesigns a few classics in the parks.
The Classic Red and Black Minnie Ears have received a bit of a makeover and now have a more matte sparkly finish than it’s predecessor.
See just how SUBTLE this change is here!
World Showcase Giftshops
We’ve been loving all the great food at the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival since the parks have been opened again. Since the festival combines Food and Wine and the Flower and Garden Festival together, the prizes for Remy’s Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt was previously the Flower and Garden’s Spike the Bee Pollen Nation Exploration’s prize! But, the official prizes have been switched to ADORABLE water bottles!
Guests aren’t able to purchase these water bottles on their own. But, instead, they can pick up the Mickey and Remy Bottles after they finish the scavenger hunt to help Remy find his secret ingredients throughout the World Showcase.
We think these are some pretty awesome prizes, just for heading on a scavenger hunt! (Remy looks just as happy as we do to eat some Disney food during the festival.)
We can’t wait to see what other Food and Wine merch comes out this year!
Find out how you can get these adorable water bottles at the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival!
World Traveler Gift Shop
While we were bopping around EPCOT, we spotted the sweet Disney Skyliner Dooney and Bourke bag! Although we’ve previously seen the bag on shopDisney for $198, the purse has officially made its way into the World Traveler shop. One side of the bag features Mickey and Minnie…
…and the other has Daisy and Donald figuring out which EPCOT attraction they’re going to visit first when they get off the Skyliner.
You’ve got this, Donald!
Take a trip on the Skyliner with this sweet new purse in tow!
EPCOT Food Update
Traveler’s Cafe
Oh, boy — we didn’t think Pumpkin Spice would make its return so soon (but we’re not complaining)! We unexpectedly spotted the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew at Starbucks…and, you can imagine our excitement!
We’re welcoming fall flavors with open arms!
Read our review of the return of the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew at Starbucks!
Tangierine Cafe
As restaurants start to reopen around the parks, there have been a few unexpected closures from time to time of different dining locations. While Tangierine Cafe recently closed for a bit of time, it looks like the restaurant has now closed once again in EPCOT. The menu sign has been removed from the front of the area…
…and a closure sign has been put over the closed door to the entrance. Although Tangierine Cafe hasn’t stated when they’ll be reopening, we will have to keep checking back on the restaurant!
EPCOT Construction Update
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
As France continues its construction in EPCOT, we’ve been patiently (kind of) waiting for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to open. Although the ride previously was supposed to open this summer, the closures have bumped many attractions’ schedules back as they continue making progress. There’s currently no information when Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be opening, but we can say that it’s going to be a blast!
Recent updates have been made on the Ratatouille sign. A bit of shading has been removed from the sign’s exterior. Here’s a before pic.
And here’s what it looks like now! Super subtle…we know!!
EPCOT Entertainment Update
Butterfly Garden
Although the Butterfly Garden is usually out and about for the Flower and Garden Festival, the attraction has disappeared from the area by the Land. We’ll miss you, sweet friends!!
Disney’s Hollywood Merchandise Update
Toy Story Mania Store
The Alien Remix Collection has been a hoot and a holler since it debuted! While we’ve been finding character mix-ups popping up all around the parks, the new-to-us Woody Alien Remix Toy has now made a rootin’ tootin’ appearance at the Toy Story Mania store! Just LOOK at how sweet he is, waving to everyone passing by!
Tatooine Traders
Baby Yoda has taken over the world by storm! And, Disney has been bringing so much Star Wars merchandise to the parks. Although we spotted the Baby Yoda Loungefly Backpack in Disney Springs, it also flew on over to Tatooine Traders for guests to grab.
Rock Around the Shop
Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster is one of our favorite rides in Disney World (who wouldn’t want to blast Aerosmith during a ride?!). And, you can enjoy all sorts of new goodies at the attraction’s gift shop! During the fall weather, you can snuggle up in the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Hoodie…
…and Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Pants that even Steven Tyler would want to wear!
Okay, but how FLY would these look in your next PhotoPass photo in the parks??
Since you’re blasting off from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds, you are definitely riding in “1 QK Limo” aboard Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster!
If you’re looking for a souvenir to pick up in the parks to take back home with you, we think that the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Tee is a great choice (especially since Mickey is going AT IT on that guitar solo)!
Since you’re going to need to stay hydrated when you’re in Disney World, sipping on water out of the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster Water Bottle is a chill way to cool off in Hollywood Studios.
The water bottle is covered with plenty of rockin’ stickers, so you can be reminded of Aerosmith’s killer tunes and Disney’s fantastic rides.
Now, we’re really ready to rock ‘n’ roll!!
Rock ‘n’ Roll over to Hollywood Studios for this AWESOME merchandise!
Tower Hotel Gifts
The Tower of Terror Dress just keeps dropping into all sorts of stores across Disney World! While we first saw the outfit on shopDisney and then Disney Springs, the Tower of Terror Dress has (finally) made its way to the Tower Hotel Gifts located after the spooky attraction.
And, let us tell you that the detail on this bellhop themed dress is GORGEOUS with the Hollywood Tower Hotel’s logo, color scheme, and even an elevator sign.
Disney merchandise has sales popping up all over the parks to welcome guests back. But, we were MEGA excited to see that the Oogie Boogie Light-Up Ears on sale for only $10. (We can’t believe our eyes!!)
Hollywood Studios Entertainment Update
Mulan Preview
As Disney+ plans to debut Mulan on September 4th, Hollywood Studios is hosting a sneak peek of scenes from the film as well as a look at costumes from the live-action film!
While Walt Disney Presents is hosting the preview with Mulan posters…
…and a look at our amazing warrior…
…the theater is making sure to follow health and safety measures during this time as well!
Sections of seats are blocked off and every other row is closed to make sure that guests are distanced from one another in the theater.
Take a look at the full preview of Mulan in Disney’s Hollywood Studios here!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We’ll catch you next time for more food, merchandise, construction, and entertainment updates!
