Florida has been under a state of emergency since March 9th due to the global health crisis. On March 24th, Governor Ron DeSantis signed an Executive Order mandating that all travelers from the New York Ti-State Area to Florida would be required to undergo a mandatory quarantine. On July 7th, the travel restriction was extended along with the state of emergency.

Now, though, Governor DeSantis has signed a new Executive Order that rescinds the mandatory quarantine for tri-state travelers.

In a new Executive Order, DeSantis rescinded Section 3 of the Executive Order containing the Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step. Plan for Florida’s Recovery. The rescinded section contained the extension of Tri-State travel restrictions. Now, travelers from the New York Tri-State area are NOT mandated to quarantine upon arrival.

As a note, the Tri-State area still mandates quarantine for those traveling from Florida, so there is still a barrier for those looking to visit the Sunshine State. These executive orders are subject to change, reinstation, and extension, so keep a close eye on the news in your state and Florida if you are hoping to travel to Disney World.
