It’s Official! A NEW Sign in Disney World Confirms the Grand Floridian Walkway!
We’ve been getting our walking shoes ready and keeping an eye on what has always appeared to be a walkway connecting Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to Magic Kingdom.
Now we’ve got some official confirmation of what this walkway will be.
The bridge, which would presumptively serve as part of the walking path from the Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom, looked very close to completion the last time we flew past it on the monorail.
Today, as we walked near the front of Magic Kingdom, we spotted a sign that has confirmed what we have long presumed. New signage now points us to the “Grand Floridian Walkway.”
While Disney has not made any official announcements regarding the bridge, this new sign serves as a pretty strong confirmation that soon guests will be able to stroll from the Grand right over to Space Mountain.
We also spotted some construction today near the monorail station. There’s no official confirmation yet of what the purpose of this area will be exactly, but it does look like the structures to hold some tents have been built.
While no official opening date has been set for the walkway, we’ll certainly keep our eyes open for any news from Disney and for more construction updates.
