PHOTOS! Disney World Has NEW Signs Outlining the Updated Face Mask Policy
Walt Disney World theme parks are officially open to the public. New health and safety regulations were implemented to increase sanitation and encourage physical distancing between travel groups.
Per regulations, guests are required to wear face-coverings at all times. Disney has set specific requirements for masks and will only accept guests who have the proper coverage. The only time guests are allowed to remove the mask is when they are actively eating or drinking while stationary or at a relaxation station.
Disney has placed signs throughout the property reminding folks to wear masks and also asked Cast Members to carry small signs to ensure guests are wearing the proper coverage. Disney’s current mask policy is fairly detailed and has seen a few updates in the last two weeks. The first update restricted guests from using neck gaiters and bandanas. Now, Disney has banned any masks that have valves, mesh material, or holes of any kind.
NEW face-cover signs were seen at the entrance to EPCOT today. The sign is incredibly detailed and lists ALL of Disney’s requirements for face-coverings as well as what is not permitted. This sign reflects the brand new policy that disqualifies masks with valves and holes.
The detailed message will allow guests to read the mask specifications before heading to the theme parks’ entrance. While the sign displays all the face-covering specifications, it was created to highlight the new policy regarding valves and holes.
Many health and safety regulations have changed since the park’s closure in March and continue to change while the theme parks are ramping up again. We will keep you informed as we hear about updated changes around all Disney theme parks!
