NEWS: Disneyland Resort Has Made Big Changes to Their Face Mask Policy
Several stores and restaurants have recently reopened in Downtown Disney, Disneyland’s entertainment and shopping district. For now, Disneyland’s theme parks and hotels remain closed.
Disney World recently updated their face mask policy and Disneyland is following suit.
Just like Disney World, Disneyland is now explicitly stating neck gaiters and bandanas are no longer acceptable face coverings.
If you’re wearing one of these tube-style or loose-fitting face coverings, you could be turned away from Downtown Disney at the gate. Here’s how Disneyland’s updated face-covering policy now reads on its website.
Appropriate face coverings must fit snugly against the face, covering both nose and mouth. Masks can be made of either a reusable fabric or disposable material, but ties or earloops must be present.
When seated for a meal, guests are allowed to remove their face coverings. And just like Disney World’s recent policy update, guests visiting Downtown Disney may remove their face covering while they’re actively eating or drinking outside, stationary, and social distancing themselves from others.
Disneyland’s face mask policy is now in keeping with the updates Disney World has recently made to its face mask policy. For more information regarding the health and safety modifications you can expect to see when you visit Downtown Disney, click here!
