Did You Know About These Seven Souvenirs You Can ONLY Find in Disney World?
Shopping for souvenirs in Disney World almost seems like a rite of passage for some people. If you don’t come home with a pair of Mickey ears, did you even GO to Disney World?!
But some pieces of merchandise are more “rare” than others. Often times you can find Disney parks merchandise online at shopDisney or at your local Disney Store, but other times there are items that can ONLY be found in the parks!
These items are even more exclusive than that $37,500 castle you can purchase on Main Street! That’s right, this beauty can also be found online!
So what pieces of Disney merchandise can you ONLY find in Disney World? Let’s take a look at a few!
Select personalized items
The great thing about shopping online at shopDisney is that you can find some personalized items, like hats, shirts, blankets, and more!
But at Disney World, you can find some pretty exclusive stuff that once you put your name on it, it becomes even MORE special and unique! We’re talking things like hand-painted parasols and embroidered Mickey ears!
And don’t forget about those hand-decorated Christmas ornaments from Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe! These can be decorated in all sorts of ways, from adding dates, names, and more!
There are a select few items in Disney World that have you can give that extra-special personalized touch, so be sure to scope those out next time you’re in the parks!

Limited-time and commemorative items
Disney LOVES to celebrate new rides, attractions, and lands! They also love to celebrate their parks and attractions’ anniversaries as well as send attractions off with a fond farewell when they close. If you happen to be in the parks at the right time, you may be able to snag some seriously limited-edition t-shirts, hats, and more!
Note that SOMETIMES you can spot some leftover inventory on shopDisney, but only when the items don’t sell out in the parks! You’re better off placing your bets on scoring these limited edition items at Disney World.
What about free (or almost free) souvenirs? Find out where you can score those in the parks here!
Souvenir mugs
Souvenir mugs have been a Disney parks staple for years! Lots of folks collect Disney mugs, and the lengths some people will go to get these mugs is serious business!
The mugs at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, for example, can only be purchased on-site. Every once in a while they will release limited-edition versions of their mugs that will sell out super fast!
The souvenir mugs at Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are also park exclusives. You need to order the drink that comes with the mug in order to purchase it, but once you do, you’ll have a SUPER unique piece of Disney to bring home with you!
Be sure to ask for the Cliff Dweller or the Yub Nub at Oga’s to take a piece of Galaxy’s Edge home with you!

And don’t forget those collector’s items — the Starbs in-park mugs! These sell out quickly whenever there’s a new design because you can ONLY get them in Disney Parks!
Lightsaber from Savi’s Workshop
Heading back to Galaxy’s Edge, there are several spots where you can get some park-exclusive merchandise. The first place we’re checking out is Savi’s Workshop.
Savi’s Workshop is far more than just a place to get your hands on a lightsaber. It is a full-blown experience and attraction in its own right.
The price for this experience, including the lightsaber, is $199.99 per person. Space inside is also limited, and the “builder” may only bring in one guest to observe! You’ll walk away with your very own custom saber in the color blade of your choice with a souvenir pin and carrying case as well! Additional Kyber Crystals (the stones that control the color of your lightsaber blade) can be purchased at nearby Dok Ondar’s.

Droid from Droid Depot
Not too far from Savi’s Workshop is the Droid Depot, where you can custom build another exclusive piece of park merchandise!
Like Savi’s, your time in Droid Depot is so much more than just purchasing a droid. This is truly a fully immersive experience where you build a droid from the ground up!
You can customize the colors and parts of this droid as well as its “personality,” making this an even more unique purchase!
The cost of building a droid at Droid Depot is $99.99. Additional accessories and personality chips are also available, for an added cost!

Souvenir popcorn buckets
The popcorn bucket frenzy is real, my friends.
Over the past few years, Disney has pulled out all the stops when it comes to their souvenir popcorn buckets. These come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and once new designs arrive in the parks, they can sell out FAST.
The souvenir popcorn buckets switch out frequently throughout the year, so what’s available one day may be totally different the next day! Expect special buckets to appear around the holidays as well! The parks are the only place where these items are released, however, which makes them ultra-special!
Some of our favorites over the past few years have been the Skyliner popcorn bucket, baby Simba, and of course the annual holiday Pluto bucket!
Disneyland even released a special retro popcorn box earlier this year, similar to the original popcorn boxes from decades ago! Granted, this was just a paper box, not a plastic refillable bucket but still — HOW COOL?
If you see a long line at a popcorn stand, it’s probably because there’s a souvenir bucket for sale! So hop in line and grab one before they’re gone!

Silhouettes
Like the personalized merchandise you can purchase throughout the parks, there’s another special souvenir in both Disneyland and Disney World that no one else will have (because no one else has your FACE!).
Silhouettes have found their way into many homes and have been a theme park staple for YEARS! Families will bring their kiddos back over time to get silhouettes as they grow, and you can even add your pets to the collection, too! You can find Silhouette artists on Main Street, U.S.A. and Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom, in the France Pavilion in Epcot, and in Disney Springs.
These silhouettes are HAND CUT by artists who’ve been honing this rare skill for years. After sitting for the artist for just minutes, you’ll get two mirrored copies of your silhouette of choice with the option to purchase a frame for a small additional fee. And here’s a fun fact! In Disneyland, their Silhouette Studio on Main Street has been open since one day after Disneyland’s opening day in 1955!
Come along on a food tour of Main Street, U.S.A.!
As you can see, park exclusive merchandise isn’t too hard to find! You just need to know where to look. Next time you’re in the parks, consider waiting on buying that spirit jersey for a sale on shopDisney and instead grab a souvenir you know you can’t find ANYWHERE else!
