Is Hong Kong Disneyland Preparing to Reopen?

Now that Shanghai Disneyland has partially reopened, it seems Hong King Disneyland might be taking steps in the same direction.

Hong Kong Disneyland

Shanghai Disneyland was the first Disney theme park to close on January 25th while Hong Kong Disneyland shut its gates only a day later, but has yet to welcome back guests.

And today, according to @hkdl_0f_fantasy, there appears to be some activity at China’s other Disney theme park. The tweet states Hong Kong Disneyland Cast Members have been invited back to attend a soft opening from May 19th to May 21st.

So far, we’ve also seen character dining return at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel’s Enchanted Garden Restaurant, and it appears to the park is setting up temporary barriers similar to the simulated safety measures we saw Shanghai Disneyland performing shortly before announcing their May 11th reopening.

We’ll continue to watch for more signs that Hong Kong Disneyland is getting ready to reopen, but for now, the website still states the theme park is closed until further notice and they “will announce a reopening date once they determine it is advisable.” Stay tuned!
