What’s New at Disney’s Epcot: Construction Galore, Coral Minnie Ears, and a Menu Shake-Up in France!
Hello, World travelers! We’re back with the latest edition of What’s New at Epcot where we’re checking out the latest and greatest in both the World Showcase and Future World!
Not only is the theme park in the midst of an exciting transformation, but the 2020 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival recently kicked off!
We’ll be chatting loads of construction updates, new merch, and even some menu changes! Let’s dive in!
Epcot Food Updates
We found many updates throughout World Showcase.
France Pavilion
In the France Pavilion, L’Espirit de la Provence is currently closed.
It’s not all bad news, because the wine shop next door, Aux Vins de France, remains open!
And, we spotted some of the herbs from the temporarily closed shop been moved here!
Our cheese obsessed selves are jumping for joy because Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie is now offering Creme de Brie.

This carby goodness certainly softened the blow, because we also discovered they changed up our beloved FRANGIPANE. Chocolate and Hazelnut have been added to the classic almond-flavored filling and sadly, it just didn’t live up to the previous version. *Here’s to hoping they bring back the prior incarnation*

Japan Pavilion
Our journey around World Showcase has left us thirsty. Luckily, over in Japan, the Outdoor Sake Bar is offering a new seasonal cocktail. The Sparkling Dragon features Sake, Peach Schnapps, Sour Mix, and Dragon Fruit Syrup.
Refreshment Outpost
The Refreshment Outpost is now serving multiple flavors of Bud Light Seltzer for $10.00.
Mexico Pavilion
You know we always have to make a pit stop at La Cava del Tequila and we recently discovered a new cocktail! They are now shaking up the Mexican Coffee, a twist on the traditional Carajillo. If you’re looking for a caffeine boost with a kick this one features Cold Brew, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, and Lolita Chocolate Liqueur. Caffeine, chocolate, and chile? We’re down!
The Neil Patrick Harris crafted Black Magic is now available at San Angel Inn.
We also noted a ton of updates to the dining menu! Many favorites have been removed including the Tostadas de Camaron, Sopes de Champinon, Camarones al Chipotle, Pescado a la Talla, Tacos al Pastor, Plato Vegetariano, Ensalada de Vegetales, Chile Relleno con Camaron, Ensalada de Salmon, and Ensalada con Pollo Asado.
Ensalada Cesar is now an entree choice instead of appetizer. While it remains the same description, the Empanadas changed names from Empanadas de Chorizoto to Empanadas de Choriqueso. The Combinación Mexicana now comes with a Tamal de Pollo instead of a Chile Poblano. New menu additions include Flautas, Camarones a la Diabla, Tacos de Vegetales, and Enchiladas de Pollo.
Epcot Construction Updates

There certainly has been no shortage of construction and closures in Future World. We’re happy to report that the Spaceship Earth Area Restrooms have reopened!

We’re all eagerly awaiting the opening of Space 220, so let’s have a look at the construction progress. While we can’t peek at much so far, we’re hopeful that opening day will be here before we know it!
We are one step closer to a new Taste Track a.k.a. the upcoming Taste Track Burgers and Fries (Our stomachs are rumbling from just thinking about it!).
The park has officially launched the new fin-tastic and family-friendly Finding Dory’s Friends Scavenger Hunt!
