News! AMC Theatres Are Now Lowering Guest Capacity at Movie Showings!
Tomorrow, we’ll have to say “goodbye for now” to all the parks in Disney World until the end of the month.
Although you might not be able to hop on your favorite attractions or meet some characters, you can still have a great time exploring Disney Springs! But, if you have any plans to pop by AMC Theatre, you might want to make sure you snag those movie tickets ASAP!
In a statement released by the AMC CEO and President, Adam Aron, AMC Theatres will now be limiting their seating availability to only 50% of normal capacity to enforce social distancing.
During each showtime, the screenings will appear to be sold out when they hit this 50% capacity mark from March 14th through April 30th. On top of that, the theatres will be following “enhanced cleaning protocols” between each showtime and “high-touch point areas” like handrails, doorknobs, kiosks, counter tops, restroom areas, and glass will be wiped down at least once an hour. Crew members will be staying home if they feel ill and AMC encourages guests to do the same.
So, if you’re looking for a few hours out of the house or your resort, you can still enjoy Onward in Disney Springs!
