We Just Got ANOTHER Sneak Peek for Disneyland’s NEW Magic Happens Parade!
We are officially ONE MONTH out from the debut of the Magic Happens parade that’s coming to Disneyland!
To celebrate, we’re taking a look at a new sneak peek of the parade! You might remember we recently got a look at more of the float art and some costume designs that will help to tell the story of magic and we’ve seen concepts for many of the other floats based on Disney films including Moana and Frozen 2. Now, check out a look inside the way these floats are designed and the way the details are realized!
Disney Parks Blog recently released a video that gives us a glimpse into what the float creation process is like. Here, you can see an Imagineer handling what looks like a spire for Aurora’s castle on the finale float! In the background, we think that’s a set piece for the Coco float.
Here’s the concept for what those spires will look like when they’re finished! Whew! Seeing them in their uncomplete form really gives us an idea of how BIG these floats really are!
The video also showed a pretty big look at the Coco float with its added foliage for the bridge. Look! You can even spot the Dante model on the bridge!
The finished product should look pretty magical with all those steel surfaces covered up to create a gorgeous display of magic.
AND check out the progress on the Cinderella float! We love the gorgeous detailing we can already see showing up on the pumpkin carriage!
Here’s a look at the concept art for the incredible float!
The Magic Happens parade debuts in Disneyland one month from today on February 28th and we can’t wait! If you want to take a look at the full sneak peek video and hear from Senior Art Director, Scott Shaffer; you can watch it here!
