Let’s Take a Look at Everything That’s Closed for Refurbishment in Disney World Next Week!
It’s another week, which means another round of closures in Disney World!
If you’re going to be pounding the pavement in Disney World the week of January 13th through January 19th then you’re probably going to want to know what you WON’T be able to do in the parks. Check out this week’s installation of everything that will be closed for refurbishment in Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and more!
Refurbishments in Magic Kingdom
Splash Mountain
Last week we shared an update about how Splash Mountain will be closed for a little over a month, and that closure includes next week. The refurb window for this super-popular attraction started last Monday and the attraction is set to remain closed until February 28th. So if you were hoping to cause some trouble with Bre’r Rabbit, it’s going to have to wait.

Walt Disney World Railroad
No surprise here, but the Walt Disney World Railroad remains closed until further notice. For now, one of the locomotives remains in residence at the Main Street Station if you want to check out these historic trains (and get a pic)! The railway is closed due to interference from construction on TRON Lightcycle Run in Tomorrowland, which will likely wrap up sometime in 2021.

Refurbishments in Epcot
Test Track and Test Track SIMporium
Epcot has got a new closure this week with Test Track and the accompanying Test Track SIMporium! Test Track closes on Monday and is not set to reopen until February 6. No worries though, this closure is just for routine maintenance, so we’ll be back on our custom wheels soon!

Impressions de France
Another unsurprising closure next week is over in the World Showcase at Impressions de France. However, we have good news with this one! The Palais du Cinema reopens THIS FRIDAY (January 17th) with the return of Impressions de France and the opening of the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along which will play in a rotation.

Canada Circle-Vision Theater
Over in Canada, we’ll only have to wait until the end of the week for the reopening of the Canada Circle-Vision Theater, with its own all-new film Canada Far & Wide premiering on January 17th too!

Refurbishments in Animal Kingdom
Kali River Rapids
The seasonal closure of Kali River Rapids continues this week over in Animal Kingdom. This routine maintenance window is set to end March 21st, so you’ll have to hold off on that river adventure for now.

Primeval Whirl
And just a reminder that Primeval Whirl is closed again in its new pattern of seasonal operation. We likely won’t see this dino-tastic attraction running again until the busy season.
Water Parks
Blizzard Beach
Blizzard Beach has been closed since September and should reopen on Sunday, January 18th. We’re excited to see what Disney has done during this lengthy closure!
And, with no refurbishments in Hollywood Studios, that’s all the closures in Disney World this week! We’ll let you know if anything changes but for now, that’s all!
