Is The NEW Epcot Festival of the Arts Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Worth It?

Hiya from the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts! We’re here reporting LIVE from Epcot so we can tell ya about all the new food, merch, and entertainment.

Epcot 2020 Festival of the Arts

But now it’s time to talk about a BRAND NEW experience that has made its way to the festival this year — The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine.

This new offering takes guests on a “technicolor tour around Epcot to sample a spectrum of dazzling, delicious dishes in a vibrant variety of hues.” If you remember the Cookie Stroll that’s available at Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays, then you kind of know what this guy is about! Guests have the opportunity to purchase 5 items from the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine locations, as seen here in the Wonderful Walk Passport. So, let’s get to walking, shall we?

Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine Passport

Seared Corvina at Cuisine Classique

Let’s start things off with the Seared Corvina over at Cuisine Classique in the Germany Pavilion! The seared fish comes with braided Ratatouille (Remy would be proud), as well as Lemon-Thyme Beurre Blanc. For $7.50, this is a light dish that is filled with flavor!

Pan-Seared Scallop at The Artist’s Table

The Pan-Seared Scallop is at The Artist’s Table is BACK, and we are thrilled. The scallop is served with chorizo, roasted red pepper coulis, and a parmesan crisp, available for $7. We were thrilled to see this back on the menu, and enjoyed it so much we’d be happy to have it again!

Vanilla, Rose Water and Pistachio Panna Cotta at The Masterpiece Kitchen

Um, can we talk for a minute about just how beautiful this dessert is? Available at The Masterpiece Kitchen, this rose-shaped sweet is made with vanilla, rose water, and pistachio Panna Cotta, and is available for $8. While this same dish was also on the menu last year, this year the same great flavors came in a stunning rose-shaped design, which we are all about! The fact that it tastes delicious is just a (really great) added bonus.

Deconstructed BLT at The Deconstructed Dish

Both Pop Eats! and The Deconstructed Dish started the day off a bit late due to some “technical difficulties”. But, once we got a taste of the Deconstructed BLT, we’re happy to say it was WELL worth the wait! Made with crispy pork belly, tomato jam, and soft poached egg, this dish is available for $7. The pork belly is nice and crispy, pairing well with the soft egg. The added hint of sweet flavor from the tomato jam ties everything together in the best way!

Almond Frangipane Cake at Pop Eats

Another returning player! The Almond Frangipane Cake was also available at Pop Eats! last year, although this year’s version is back with fewer colors. Available for $4.50, the cake is layered with raspberry jam and Belgian chocolate, making for a piece of cake that really looks like a work of art!

The Prize!

After you purchase your goodies, you’ll collect a stamp and pop it into your Festival Passport. Once you’ve gathered all five stamps, you can head to Decadent Delights for a prize — this adorable Completer Palette Cookie and a cup of strawberry milk!

We’re happy to say that the Completer Palette Cookie is super yummy! It’s soft and flavorful, and was the perfect dessert treat after our Wonderful Walk meals.

Overall

Overall, we loved the dishes on the list this year, so for us, this truly was a Wonderful Walk! That being said, while the sugar cookie is genuinely yummy, if you aren’t a huge fan of the mandatory food options, then you shouldn’t feel too bad about skipping out on this one. It will cost you around $35 to complete your passport and to snag the cookie! And remember, the only way to snag this cookie is by completing the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine!

If you don’t think this activity is for you, don’t worry because there’s still plenty of other fun activities to take in at the Festival of the Arts!

Be sure to stay in the festival know by following along with our we’re live post, and by taking a look at all of the MENUS and BOOTHS that this festival has to offer!

And, as always, happy eating! 🙂
