Going to Disney World?? You Need Our BEST Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit VALUES for 2020!

If you’re looking to make the most of your Disney Dining Plan snack credits, it can hard to figure out which treats are snack credit eligible before you actually get to Disney World!

Magic Kingdom

But lucky for you, you’ve got US! You see, we’re at the Disney parks every day, so we can point you in the right direction towards really making those snack credits COUNT and NOT wasting your money$$$$$$!

First, here’s a little rundown on how the Disney Dining Plan works — just in case you’re new to the DDP game! Each of the various Disney Dining Plans includes 2 snack credits per person on the plan, per day.

Common uses for these snack credits include popcorn, fruit, ice cream, cupcakes, or beverages such as bottled water or soda. But most of those items are fairly cheap, and we’d much rather pay for them out-of-pocket so we can save our snack credits for where they truly count — on the MOST expensive, unique, or best bang-for-your-buck items!

Bacon Mac and Cheese Fries at Casey’s Corner

So whether you’re looking for the ultimate tasty snack or the best value for your Disney Dining Plan snack credits, you’ve come to the right place!

Here are our TOP PICKS for the best treats at Disney World that you can get using a DDP snack credit in 2020!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake from Aloha Isle

Bring on the sunshine! Nothing says Disney World vacation more to us than the pineapple-flavor soft-serve commonly known in these parts as Dole Whip! But while you can snag a bowl of the sweet stuff by itself for $4.99 (or served as a Dole Whip Float with pineapple juice for $5.99), the best bang-for-your-snack-credit dessert featuring this icy pineapple treat is Aloha Isle’s Pineapple Upside Down Cake for $6.99!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake with Dole Whip at Aloha Isle

With a substantially sized soft, moist pineapple cake with real chunks of pineapple and maraschino cherries on the bottom and a big, gorgeous helping of dairy-free Dole Whip on top, you’re basically getting two treats for one snack credit! It’s pineapple cake a la mode, y’all! Look for this tasty treat in the Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland!

Loaded Fries from Casey’s Corner

Why settle for a basic side of fries when you can use your snack credit to scale this magic mountain of potato, bacon, and macaroni to french fry nirvana? While we tend to favor the Bacon Mac and Cheese Fries for $6.49, the Chili Cheese Fries for $6.49 isn’t striking out with us either! These are some serious grand slam flavors for our loaded fries affection!

Bacon Mac and Cheese Fries at Casey’s Corner

Casey’s Corner is always coming up with new flavor combinations for its loaded piles ‘o fries too, so if you find yourself craving delicious ballpark-inspired eats at the Magic Kingdom, slide into this quick-service spot located right on Main Street, U.S.A.!

Bubble Waffles and Assorted Sweet Crepes from AristoCrêpes

Located in Disney Springs, AristoCrêpes is the cat’s meow of French-inspired eats! Take, for instance, their Strawberry Bubble Waffle! Did you know this treat retails for a price of $8.99, but you can get it for just one snack credit??? We’re inducting you into snack credit royalty with this little tip! You can also get a Salted Caramel version for just one credit! (Note that they’re not listed as a snack credit on the menu sign, so this bonus could change any day. But at press time, you can indeed get the bubble waffles for a snack credit!)

Strawberry Bubble Waffle

Their crêpes are also snack credit-worthy, if that’s more your speed. You can choose from a S’mores Crêpe, Banana Chocolate-Hazelnut Crêpe, and a Strawberries and Cream Crêpe. All of these clock in at a value of $6.99!

French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese from Flame Tree Barbecue

You know we’re not ones to spare a coveted snack credit on just any regular side of fries. Our taste for the golden-brown beauties skews a bit more exotic!

That’s why we find ourselves making the trek to Animal Kingdom’s Flame Tree Barbecue often for their French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese! This enormous homage to the splendor of potato, pork, and cheese is one seriously-satisfying eat!

Pulled Pork Fries with Cheese at Flame Tree Barbecue

Seriously, this boat of cheese and meat and carbs is practically a full-on meal. And with a price tag of $7.29, it’s also near the top of high-dollar menu items you can get for a single snack credit! We know why they call this place Flame Tree Barbecue — it’s because this spot is seriously FIRE! Save up that snack credit and COME HUNGRY!

Check out our FULL REVIEW of Flame Tree Barbecue — including the Pulled Pork Fries with Cheese HERE!

Colossal Cinnamon Roll from Multiple Locations

Call us nostalgic, but we love digging into classic Mickey-shaped eats like Premium Mickey Ice Cream Bars and Mickey-shaped Pretzels! But you’ll be hard-pressed to find a Mickey-shaped offering that’s a better value than the Colossal Cinnamon Roll for $7.49! Comprised of two cinnamon roll ears and one massive cinnamon roll head, the Colossal Cinnamon Roll isn’t an oxymoron — it can definitely feed your crew. 😉

Colossal Cinnamon Roll

And you can find the sweet Mickey-shaped roll at various locations throughout the Disney parks! One of our favorite spots to grab one is Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery in Animal Kingdom. You can also pick one up at Creature Comforts in Animal Kingdom as well.

Colossal Cinnamon Roll

If you’re in Magic Kingdom, swing by the Main Street Bakery to find this gargantuan baked good. You can snag one year-round, but they get extra fancy during the holidays. For Halloween and Christmas (we’ve even spotted it dressed up for Valentine’s Day before!), they’re served with colored icing and a decorative chocolate piece on top!

Honorable Mention: Warm Cinnamon Roll from Gaston’s Tavern

As much as we adore the Colossal Cinnamon Roll, we go waaaay back with another Disney World sweet bread that isn’t Mickey-shaped — the Warm Cinnamon Roll at Gaston’s Tavern! Back in the days before Starbucks in Disney World, it was a highlight at the Main Street Bakery. It relocated to Gaston’s in 2012 when New Fantasyland opened. This ooey-gooey delight is thicker than most of the textbooks we read back in our school days!

And for $5.99, we like what it’s teaching us! Go a little nuts and ask for extra icing on the side — Gaston would WANT you to! 😉

Mickey Waffle with Strawberries and Whipped Cream From Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

If you’re looking for a quick, sweet breakfast (or, let’s be real, this can totally be an anytime snack!) in the Magic Kingdom, head to Sleepy Hollow Refreshments where you can get this iconic Mickey Waffle topped with strawberries and whipped cream for a snack credit value worth $6.79!

Mickey Waffle from Sleepy Hollow

It’s a nice, filling snack or breakfast that will get you through a few rides before it’s time to stop for lunch! Plus, it’s a total Disney World classic!

Churro Ice Cream Sandwich from Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

Sleepy Hollow is also the home to another one of our favorite snack credit eats — the Churro Ice Cream Sandwich! It’s literally two of the best Disney park snacks sandwiched together — churros and ice cream! Worth a DDP value of $6.99, we think you should seriously consider making it part of your snacking repertoire on your next vacay!

Vanilla Ice Cream Churro Sandwich

2 round swirls of churros are freshly fried, tossed in cinnamon sugar, and wrapped ’round a massive scoop of ice cream. It’s crunchy, creamy, and absolutely delicious!

Ice Cream Sundaes from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

If you’re craving sweets, there are very few places serving up a better value for your DDP snack credit than Magic Kingdom’s Plaza Ice Cream Parlor! This place has monster-size Specialty Sundaes — most of which you can get for just one snack credit (sorry, not the Mickey’s Kitchen Sink Sundaes, but pretty much anything with two scoops or less is fair game! ;-D).

If you’re into timeless classics, go for the signature “Plaza” Ice Cream Sundae for $6.99, which features two scoops of your choice of ice cream served in a fresh waffle cone bowl with hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry! We also LOVE the Donut Sundae here…though it can sell out quickly!

Donut Sundae at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

But the menu changes here often and many seasonal sundaes are featured throughout the year — the current option is the Apple Blossom Sundae which includes a warm apple pie pocket, two scoops of ice cream, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry for $7.49

Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches at Multiple Locations

Speaking of Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, it’s also the place to go for hand-scooped Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches in Magic Kingdom! You’ll be able to customize your creation with two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and your choice of ice cream — usually, about 2 scoops gets crammed in there!

You can even get them drizzled with a little chocolate, peanut butter, or caramel sauce for the ultimate indulgence. BUT, this will cost you an extra $.50 (OR another whole snack credit…which you SHOULD NOT SPEND on a $.50 item, obvi). Now, since these puppies normally cost $6.99, they’re a great tasty treat and value for your DDP snack credit!

Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich with Peanut Butter at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

But Magic Kingdom isn’t the ONLY place to get them! You can also find customizable ice cream cookie sandwiches at Dino-Bite Snacks in Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Scoops in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Funnel Cakes from Epic Eats

Now this is one of the BEST snack credit values on property from a sheer money-saving standpoint! For the best deal on funnel cakes, head over to Epic Eats at Hollywood Studios where these specialty funnel cakes run $8.49! They come with your choice of either strawberry topping and soft-serve vanilla ice cream or cookies ‘n cream topping and soft-serve vanilla ice cream. Either way, you’ll be facing a deliciously difficult decision, but using a snack credit on one of these bad boys is a total no-brainer!

Cookies ‘n Cream Funnel Cake

These funnel cakes are majorly shareable and an easy way to stretch those snack credits as far as possible! Remember — Epic Eats USED to be Oasis Canteen, but was re-named last year (so that Disney could create another stand called Oasis Canteen next door that serves alcohol).

Hummus with Vegetables and Mini Pita from Mr. Kamal’s

Mr. Kamal’s in Animal Kingdom has been a longtime favorite spot of ours to grab some vegetarian-friendly snacks (or maybe you’ve filled up on too many sweets and need something healthy in your body!). If you’re on the Dining Plan, it’s a great place to grab this healthy treat that’s a serious bang for your buck — the Hummus with Vegetables and Mini Pita plate for $6.29!

Hummus with Veggies and Pita at Mr. Kamal’s

With a substantial serving of hummus, carrot, celery sticks, olives, and mini pitas, this is a great sharable snack to help you get your daily veggies!

Food Booth Items from Epcot’s Multiple Festivals

OK, this will often be your #1 best value for your DDP snack credits! Depending on what time of year you’ll be visiting, check to see which, if any, annual Epcot festival will be happening during your stay.

Each of Epcot’s unique festivals includes an array of food booths that feature different menu items — most of which are snack-credit eligible and super expensive! We’re talking snack credit options that run well over $8 here!

Smoked Salmon Potato Latke at Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays

In 2020, Epcot’s Festival of the Arts will be taking place from January 17th through February 24th. Next, Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival will kick off starting on March 4th and running through June 1st. Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival is the next celebration to follow, which will begin in late August and run through the fall and winter months. And Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays will finish out the year!

Cheese Fondue

DFB publishes ALL of the festival menus as SOON as they’re announced, and we eat ALL of the food on the first day of the festival, giving you our full reviews and our Best of the Fest for each festival. Stick with us and you’ll get all the info on the best eats and the best values at the festivals!

Cheese Stuffed Pretzels from Multiple Locations

There’s no shortage of pretzels to tangle yourself up with at Disney World, but one of our favorite varieties are the ones that come pre-stuffed with cheese — no dunking required!

Where do you find such angelic creatures stirring? The Lunching Pad at the Magic Kingdom is serving up a warm, delicious Cream Cheese Stuffed Pretzel for $6.79 while just a little further down the road you’ll spot the Pepper Jack Stuffed Pretzel from Cheshire Cat Cafe, also just $6.79!

Pepper Jack Pretzel

You can often find these pretzels at other parks and the Disney World Boardwalk as well, so keep an eye on pretzel carts and kiosks to find them!

Batuu-bon, Oi-Oi Puff, and Moof Juice from Docking Bay 7

We’re super-excited that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is finally open at Hollywood Studios because now there are EVEN more out-of-this-world ways to spend those snack credits!

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo has become an intergalactic treasure trove for treats to throw a snack credit at, and one of our favorite snack credit values here is the Batuu-bon for $6.99! It’s a dense, rich brownie-like cake topped with a white chocolate mousse dome filled with coffee mousse!

Batuu-Bon

We can also recommend the Oi-Oi Puff for $6.49! It’s kinda like a cross between a cake and bread, filled with a sweet and tart raspberry mousse all topped with passionfruit mousse!

Oi-Oi Puff

And we’re not normally ones to recommend using your snack credits on beverages, but Docking Bay 7’s Moof Juice for $5.49 is really delicious. It consists of Simply Fruit Punch, Simply Orange with Pineapple, and Chipotle-Pineapple. While it claims to have some heat to it, we didn’t find any; but it was a fruity, refreshing drink nonetheless!

Moof Juice

These are definitely the snacks you’re looking for…to get your money’s worth on Batuu!

Blue and Green Milk from The Milk Stand

If the Moof Juice didn’t quench your intergalactic thirst, how about THIS Star Wars novelty! That’s right, friends! You can get a Blue Milk or Green Milk (worth $7.99 each!) with just one of your snack credits!

Green Milk and Blue Milk

Both colors are non-dairy and plant-based, made with coconut and rice milks. Blue Milk is flavored with dragon fruit, pineapple, lime, and watermelon while Green Milk has an emphasis on citrus with flavor notes of mandarin orange, passion fruit, grapefruit, and orange blossom! (At least, that’s what DISNEY says they are. To us, they just kind of taste like fruity perfume and perfumey perfume. But to each his own!)

Garlic Knots from Pizzafari

Pizzafari’s menu may be VERY pizza-centric (and not all that highly recommended), but when we’re looking for a garlicky, bready snack to fill up on, we reach for their Garlic Knots for $6.99!

Garlic Knots and Marinara Sauce

The bread is generously coated with olive oil and a combination of herbs, garlic, and shredded cheese; and it’s served with a side of marinara sauce for major dunkage! This is a giant snack and totally shareable!

Gelato Milkshakes and Floats from D-Luxe Burger

While you can use DDP snack credits towards Blue and Green Milk at The Black Spire Outpost, you can also use ’em on milkshakes and other specialty drinks at many locations throughout the Disney parks!

We think D-Luxe Burger has some of the best shakes at Disney World (especially because they’re made with super-creamy gelato instead of ice cream)! Their gelato flavors rotate seasonally, so there’s usually something new to try whenever we stop by — like the Pumpkin Pie Milkshake we enjoyed last fall!

Seasonal Pumpkin Pie Milkshake at D-Luxe Burger

And since they come in at a price tag of $7.50, these shakes are some of the best non-alcoholic values on the DDP! D-Luxe also serves Coke, Orange, and Root Beer Floats that are DDP-eligible and worth a snack credit value of $7.50!

Read more about what specialty drinks you can get on the Disney Dining Plan here!

Baked Mac & Cheese with Pulled Pork from Eight Spoon Cafe

Last but not least, we have to tell you guys about the Baked Mac & Cheeses at Eight Spoon Cafe! This rather unassuming kiosk at the Animal Kingdom is a BEAST at serving up delicious grub! You can try their Baked Mac and Cheese with Pulled Pork for $6.79 or Baked Mac & Cheese with Shrimp and Sweet Chili Sauce for $6.99 with just one snack credit!

Eight Spoon Cafe Pork Mac and Cheese

These are HUGE portions of delicious, stick-to-your-ribs grub that can easily be treated as a meal, my friends!
