Check Out ALL The Entertainment at This Year’s Epcot International Festival of the Arts!

It’s officially the 2020 Epcot International Festival of the Arts and we are SO excited.

Festival of the Arts

It’s time to celebrate all the arts, from culinary, to performing, and visual! While we’ve been enjoying munching on some delightfully artistic bites today, we have also been loving the entertainment for this year’s Fest. While we had already gotten a sneak peek of what was to come, today we’re looking at all the entertainment at the 2020 Festival of the Arts!

Performing Arts

The main event at Epcot’s Festival of the Arts is the Disney on Broadway Concert Series, which takes place at the America Gardens Theatre. Tonight we got to see a performance by Broadway stars Kissy Simmons and Alton Fitzgerald White, and, WOW, what a treat! These two performed hits from The Little Mermaid, Aida, and The Lion King, and we loved every second of it!

Over in Future World, prepare to be amazed by these incredible Living Statues. These feature some (seriously talented) folks posing as, well, a living statue!

These guys are so talented!

In the Germany Pavilion, enjoy the music of Lebendig, in their Disney-debut! The German band will be performing on select dates for the entirety of the Festival.

At the performance stage in Future World, you can take in a variety of different performances depending on the time of day you visit! From musicians, to stunning acrobatics, there’s always an exciting show that will be taking place on stage.

We got a sneak preview of performances from Art Defying Gravity and Trevor Carlton — check them out here!

Visual Arts

Obviously, it wouldn’t be the Festival of the Arts without plenty of opportunities to see some art! From classes to photo opportunities to hidden works of art, there’s a little bit of everything at this year’s Festival! One of our favorite touches has to be the Character Artwork displayed around the meet-and-greets in Epcot. We spotted a few different portraits, lovingly drawn by beloved Disney characters! Check out this portrait of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, courtesy of her father, Maurice. We found this one by the Belle meet-and-greet in the France Pavilion.

There was also this charming portrait of the White Rabbit by Alice, located in the UK Pavilion by the spot where Alice does her meet-and-greet!

For those that want to take home your own work of art, you can also check out the Sugar Painting over at the China Pavilion! This traditional Chinese candy art uses sugar syrup to paint animals.

There are also opportunities all over the park to take a step into a famous work of art, with Artful Photo Ops located around Epcot. This returning favorite gives guests the chance to take a truly unique snap inside some iconic paintings.

Sunflowers and Cafe Terrace at Night are two new photo opportunities located in Future World.

Another returning favorite is the Paint-By-Numbers Mural, which this year is located where the former Mouse Gear gift shop used to be. How gorgeous is that painting going to look with Spaceship Earth in the background?!

Earlier we learned that there will be five new mural designs in total. The final design should be Figment ushering in Epcot’s Flower and Garden that starts on March 4th.

Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt, is another returning favorite! With a new map this year, kiddos will have a blast searching for hidden Figments among some famous works of art. Once their palette map is completed, it can be redeemed for a prize.

You can find the map at Port of Entry for $7.99 plus tax!

This year’s festival also features two kinds of Chalk Art – 2D Chalk Art, as well as 3D Chalk Art. We spotted these 2D Chalk Art drawings of Anna and Elsa from Frozen, as well as Bruni from Frozen 2.

Nearby, there was a 3D Chalk Art drawing of Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf from FrozenWow – they really do make these look 3D!!

Over in the Germany Pavilion, you can show off your own artistic prowess with Interactive Glass Art!

Here, you can purchase a project, and then select the glass you’d like to have fused into your piece. You can choose anything from a necklace to a picture frame to have created!

Speaking of interactive, we were psyched when we learned there would be a Spin Art Experience available at the Japan Pavilion!

Spin Art

The experience allows you to select four colors of paint, and then watch as your masterpiece is spun to life before your very eyes! The experience can either be done tabletop or on a bike, but either way you will create some stunning artwork.
