Best One-Credit Restaurant Values for 2020 on the Disney World Dining Plan!

Disney World has a seemingly endless amount of restaurants to choose from. If you have the Disney Dining Plan, that leaves you with some difficult decisions to make — where do you eat?!

Roasted Breakfast Potatoes

Whether you’re looking for more bang for your buck or a unique dining atmosphere, some of the one-credit restaurants provide a better value than others. Last year, we shared our top 9 one-credit restaurants, and this year’s list has some repeats as well as new additions that will make the most of your Dining Plan credits!

Keep in mind that we tried to be mindful of how to get the most out of your Dining Plan credits AS WELL AS the ambiance, theming, and overall service in our choices. A wonderful experience is just as important as getting a good value! Let’s see what made the cut for 2020!

Repeat Favorites from 2019

Some restaurants that appeared in last year’s list have merited a repeat mention – these options still provide a great value and are an excellent use of your Table Service credit! Listed alphabetically, here are the restaurants we thought deserved a second look this year!

Morimoto Asia (Lunch) – Disney Springs

Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs is a highly acclaimed Signature Dining experience for dinner. It’s hard to imagine Japanese A5 Wagyu Beef that sells for $28 an ounce as anything other than fine dining! So it should come as no surprise that Dinner at Morimoto Asia requires 2 Dining Credits.

Morimoto Asia

BUT! Fear not – you can dine at Morimoto Asia for LUNCH and only need to use 1 Dining Credit! You order from a nearly identical menu, so this is an excellent value to consider!

Morimoto Asia Spare Ribs

Morimoto Asia has a rather large menu, providing guests with tons of delicious options to choose from. If you want to make the most of your dining credit, be sure to take a look at their meat and seafood options. From a $52 Mongolian Filet Mignon to $39 Madagascar Jumbo Shrimp, this is an easy pick to maximize value AND amazing flavor in a single Dining Credit!

Sanaa – Animal Kingdom Lodge

If you want a unique dining experience unlike any other, you’ll want to consider adding Sanaa to your list of dining reservations. Located in Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Kidani Village, this restaurant features an African and Indian-inspired menu that the more adventurous OR pickiest of eaters can all enjoy.

Boerewors Braii

The HUGE draw to this restaurant and the main reason why it remains on our list of recommended one-credit restaurants is that it sits right next to the resort’s Sunset Savanna, meaning you can get awesome views of the African animals that call Animal Kingdom Lodge home! If you request a window table, you’ll have prime seating to watch the animals roam.

Animal Kingdom Lodge

We recommend dining at Sanaa for lunch to better see the animals on the savanna. This is an awesome value because you don’t have to pay for admission to Animal Kingdom to see these incredible animals. Plus Sanaa has one of the most unique menus in Disney World!

Shrimp Tinashe at Sanaa

The food at Sanaa has consistently delivered in terms of uniqueness and quality. Menu items include the Potjie Inspired Butter Chicken or Braised Beef, served with rice ($28) and Mishkaki, a seasoned beef kabab ($23). Sanaa is one of the more affordable options on our list, but what you’re really getting out of your Dining Credit is an opportunity to watch the animals while you dine!

Storybook Dining at Artist Point – Wilderness Lodge

Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge was formally a Signature Dining experience but recently switched to character dining with Snow White! Now known as Storybook Dining at Artist Point, guests can enjoy a prix-fixe meal with some of their favorite characters!

Storybook Dining at Artist Point

The prices certainly lend to Storybook Dining being a great value – dinner costs $59 per adult and $35 per child. If Snow White is your favorite princess, this is a great alternative to Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Shared Appetizers at Storybook Dining

The appetizers and desserts are a variety of small tastes shared by the table and feature really unique flavors and gorgeous presentations (umm…Poison Apples and Gooseberry Pie? Yes please!).

Royal Prime Rib Roast

The entrees were large and flavorful as well — our favorites were the Royal Prime Rib Roast and the Magic Mirror Slow-braised Pork Shank! Plus, you get a rare chance to meet Dopey, Grumpy, Snow White, AND the Evil Queen. Totally worth it!

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill – Disney Springs

Where else in Disney Springs can you get a delicious meal and put your one-credit to REALLY good use? Look no further than Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. This made our 2019 list and we wanted to bring it back for you this year!

Tempura Calamari and Shrimp

While the menu features an excellent selection of pizzas and pastas, the real stars of the menu are their wood-grilled steaks. When you order an 8 oz Filet Mignon for $59, you know you’re in for a treat. Toast to a wonderful dinner with a glass of Henriot ‘Brut Souverain’ Champagne ($18), and finish off your meal with a $10 Chocolate Lava Cake – that’s $87 for one person!

Mesquite Grilled NY Strip Steak Frites from Lunch at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill

Everything from appetizers, to drinks, to entrees, to dessert were impressive here. With a pricey menu, this spot is a wonderful pick for a group looking for a great variety when maximizing value of their Dining Plan credits!

NEW Additions for 2020

While there are some tried and true repeats from 2019’s list, we wanted to share a few new, additional choices for you to consider. These restaurants all offer excellent menus AND a unique atmosphere to match!

Teppan Edo – Epcot

Teppan Edo in Epcot’s World Showcase is just so much fun! It was a top one-credit pick for us in 2018 and we missed it so much last year, we brought it back! It’s a dining experience unlike any other, even compared to all the other unique dining options in Epcot! The food here is pretty stellar and the unique service they provide is something different for your whole family to enjoy!

Teppan Edo chef in action

Teppan Edo is a hibachi grill, very similar to a Benihana or other Japanese grills in many towns. So why would you want to dine here if you’ve got a perfectly good hibachi joint back home? Obviously, because it’s better at Disney. 😉 But seriously, take your local hibachi grill and make it like…REALLY good. We’re talking uber-fresh veggies, meats, and seafood, and dedicated, phenomenal chefs preparing your meal right in front of you at your table! For one dining credit you get dinner AND a show! Whether they are tossing shrimp into their hat or drawing your favorite Disney characters on the grill, the chefs at Teppan Edo really know how to entertain.

Teppan Edo

You can order a variety of meats or seafood — our pick is the Steak and Shrimp Combo meal for $37! Pair that with a $14 glass of Martin Ray Cabernet Sauvignon and finish your meal with a Green Tea Mousse Cake for $6.50, you’re looking at a nearly $60 lunch! Kids’ meals are on the higher end of the scale too, with $16 options such as Julienned Steak or Salmon. Can’t beat a HUGE quality meal and a fun show to boot!

Topolino’s Terrace (Breakfast) – Riviera Resort

The brand new Riviera Resort‘s flagship rooftop restaurant Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera recently opened in December 2019 and brings both great value and a fantastic character dining option. Dinner at Topolino’s Terrace is 2 credits, but their Breakfast à la Art is a prix fixe character breakfast is only 1 credit, folks!

Quiche Gruyere

Breakfast is somewhat pricey which makes this a truly valuable use of a Table Service credit, coming in at $45 per adult and $24 per child. Not only that, but you’re meeting characters in some SUPER adorable costumes (Painter Mickey!), not to mention you’re getting some awesome rooftop views and REALLY delicious food!

Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Characters

We enjoyed everything we tried from the delicious Wood-Fired Butchers Steak to the fresh baked Croissant au Jambon that was positively drenched in creamy Bechamel sauce! Even the kids’ menu is a blast with fun options like Mickey Waffle Dippers served on a stick with a variety of dipping sauces!

Wood-Fired Butchers Steak

We think the overall experience plus quality of food puts Topolino’s Terrace high on our list of recommended one-credit value restaurants.

‘Ohana – Polynesian Village Resort

Rounding out our 2020 list of recommended one-credit restaurants is a classic favorite that has truly stood the test of time when it comes to Disney World dining. ‘Ohana at the Polynesian Village Resort is a tried and true dining location that garners many repeat visits from guests (us included!).

Sides — Wontons, Noodles, Stir Fried Vegetables, Chicken Wings

In the morning you can enjoy breakfast with Mickey, Stitch, Lilo, and Pluto, which offers even more value for families looking to meet characters without having to wait in lines.

Say Aloha to Mickey and Friends at ‘Ohana for Breakfast

But while breakfast is good, dinner is where it’s at featuring all you care to eat delectable meat skewers, potstickers, chicken wings, noodles, and more. Of course, we can’t talk about Ohana without mentioning our favorite Bread Pudding in the whole, wide world. Seriously. It’s the stuff dreams are made of.

‘Ohana Bread Pudding. (Stop Licking the Screen Plz!)

If you’re itchin’ for a tropical drink, you can sip on the famous Lapu Lapu ($18) or the Puka Punch ($14), among others, from neighboring Tambu Lounge.

Lapu Lapu

You’re putting your one-credit to work here! ‘Ohana has a prix-fixe menu for both breakfast and dinner, costing $41 per adult and $54 per adult, respectively. Kids’ prices are $24 for breakfast and $29 for dinner.
