What’s New in Magic Kingdom — Santa Donuts, Mischievous Candy, and a Marie MagicBand!
Hey everybody! It’s time for another roundup of What’s New in Magic Kingdom!
This is where we take you on a holly, jolly trip around the Magic Kingdom to see what new construction, food, and merch updates we can spot from our virtual sleigh!
Climb aboard as we gear up to giddy up around the MOST MAGICAL PLACE ON EARTH!
Construction Update in Magic Kingdom
Main Entrance
The updated walkway that leads from the entrance of the Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Contemporary Resort is now open!
The freshly-poured concrete path runs parallel to the previous walkway which was paved with Walk Around the World bricks.

TRON Construction
Construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run keeps chuggin’ along (even though the Disney World Railroad isn’t!) Here’s how the TRON construction currently looks from the Storybook Circus Train Station!
Last month, the last piece of exterior track was lowered into place! And while the ride isn’t slated to open until 2021, each day brings us a little closer!
No worries, DFB fam! We’ll be at the Magic Kingdom when TRON: Lightcycle Run is “done programming”! In the meantime, check out our first impressions of the new Disney World attraction that just opened in Hollywood Studios last week — Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’s Rise of the Resistance!

Food Update in Magic Kingdom
Joffrey’s REVIVE
Heading over to Joffreys’s REVIVE in Tomorrowland for a little afternoon pick-me-up we saw they were servin’ up some delightful new holiday donut designs! Check out the adorable new Santa Donut we spotted!
And it wasn’t just his head you could buy! They also had this Santa Suit Donut! This is practically a build-your-own-Santa situation — minus the arms and legs!
Columbia Harbour House
Over at Columbia Harbour House, we noticed Tomato Basil Soup for $3.69 has replaced the Harvest Chili for $6.79. The menu screens above the pickup windows have been updated…
…while the printed menus aren’t reflecting the change as-of-yet. Sorry to see you get the boot, Harvest Chili, but at least your replace is a bit more affordable!
And we gotta say, while the Tomato Basil Soup is yummy and all, it tastes suspiciously similar to the one they’ve been serving at Pinnochio’s Village Haus. In fact, we’re going to go out on a limb here and guess it’s the same!
Multiple Locations
A new line of Stitch Bagged Candy has hit Disney World by storm! We grabbed these two different versions — including a Stitch Extreme Sweet Heat Mango-Flavored Gummy Candies and a Stitch Extreme Sours Cherry Berry Rainbow Sticks at the Main Street Confectionery for $6.29 each. They also had a Stitch Taffy for $7.99!

Merchandise Update in Magic Kingdom
Main Street Cinema
When we visited the park yesterday, we saw the Main Street Cinema was hosting a One Day at Dinsey book signing, the companion book to the new Disney+ documentary!
We’ll keep you posted if we see any additional dates offered in the future!
The Emporium
Now it’s time to hit the shops and mark some names off our holiday lists! We found this sweet My Happy Place Bracelet at The Emporium for $14.99!
And while we’ve seen a bunch of 2020 merch flood into to parks lately (including all the gear for the new year we spotted yesterday!) The Emporium had this new 2020 Phone Case for $29.99.
As well as this 2020 3D Phone case for $34.99!
Frontier Trading Post
If you’re an AP looking for a way to “put some jingle into your holiday,” head on over to the Frontier Trading Post where we spotted this Passholder Ornament and Pin Set for $44.99

Memento Mori
Memento Mori always knows the way to our hearts. Although the Cast Member we spoke to told us this Dooney and Bourke Haunted Mansion Backpack for $318 wasn’t new, we certainly had never seen it in our favorite Haunted Mansion gift shop before!
Check out the details on this gorgeously-ghoulish Dooney!
We love how many stylized Haunted Mansion characters we recognize!
We’ll be adding this to our list to give to Santa — FOR REALS, THO!
Big Top Souvenirs
Meanwhile, at Big Top Souvenirs we spotted this charming Marie MagicBand for $24.99! Isn’t it just so, très chic?
Click here to find out more about the new Marie MagicBand!
Liberty Square
And on our last stop through the park, we passed by the Portraits and Caricatures Station at Liberty Square and noticed someone FAMOUS had just had their drawing done!
That’s right! Santa Claus himself sat and had his portrait done! How did he find the time to fit this in his tight schedule, we’ll never know!
Well, friends, that’s it for this edition of What’s New in Magic Kingdom — until next time! Just like Frosty the Snowman, we’ll be back again someday with more construction, food, and merchandise updates for ya just as soon as we spot ’em!
