NEWS! Exciting Changes Coming to Chicken Guy in Disney Springs!

Chicken Guy! is a relatively new restaurant in Disney Springs having just opened in August of 2018. Still, it already has a significant following thanks to its simple concept and MASSIVE sauce menu (who doesn’t love sauce???). Well, we just spotted a building permit that hints at some changes coming to the poppin’ Disney Springs spot, and we’re pretty excited about what we found out!
The Orange County building permit filed refers to a “Restaurant Remodel” in Suite A of the Planet Hollywood building (AKA Chicken Guy!). Now, that’s literally all of the details the permit gives about WHAT is going to be going down at Chicken Guy! So, we reached out for comment from the restaurant location.

A Chicken Guy! spokesperson followed up with us to note that the restaurant is not exactly remodeling. Instead, they will be making space for more seating and restrooms inside the restaurant! They noted that the Florida heat can be pretty intense during the summer, so more indoor seating is a plus (AGREED!). And restrooms inside will be great (so we don’t have to go across the “street” to the closest location)!
Even better, the work won’t interrupt the customer experience at the restaurant at all, according to Chicken Guy!, so that likely means there will be no closures (and to end to SAUCESSSSSS) during the updates.

As for timing, the document is technically a Notice of Commencement, which is paperwork that is usually filed immediately before or after the permit work begins. This notice was filed on December 4.
