At this year’s Festival of Holidays in Disney California Adventure, there are SO many great sweet and savory options to choose from!

One of our favorite sweet treats has been the Pecan Pie Churro (yaaaas!), but there’s another contender entering the ring!
Yes friends, we’re heading back to the Festival Cart to check out the new Sweet Guava and Cheese Empanada! We love how it says “dulce” on its side, which is Spanish for sweet!

But don’t let his sweet side fool you — the crust is super flaky, tender and, most importantly… DELICIOUS! And when you bite into its center, the sweet guava and cheese filling hits your tongue!

The Sweet Guava and Cheese Empanada is definitely more on the sweet side than savory, but we’re diggin’ the major tropical vibes it’s serving! While the flavor of the Sweet Guava and Cheese Empanada was great, the thick sticky filling was VERY sweet. The cream cheese-like filling definitely helps temper the sweetness and adds some complexity to the filling.
