TRON Lightcycle Run Construction Progresses in Magic Kingdom With New Exterior Track Installation!
We’ve been closely monitoring the construction of the Magic Kingdom’s newest attraction TRON: Lightcycle Run!

And while the ride isn’t slated to open until 2021 (just in time for Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration!) we’ve seen A LOT of progress over the last few days!
The new TRON coaster is really beginning to take shape! We’ve seen several large pieces of the exterior track come to rest over the supports that had previously been installed over the past few days — thanks in large part to the enormous cranes we’ve seen towering over Tomorrowland for some time!

The framing of the interior portion of the attraction is also coming along, as we spotted some workers up on the rooftop!

It’s been exciting watching TRON: Lightcycle Run come together and we can’t wait to see how the U.S. version stacks up against it’s Shanghai counterpart — it’s even easier to envision whipping around on our lightcycles now that we can see the track’s layout!
