Is Disneyland Going to Upgrade This Opening Day Attraction?!
Oh how we love those opening day Disneyland attractions. They’re like riding through history!

Amidst all the holiday news from Disneyland, we just got word that one of those opening day classics is going to get a little TLC in the form of a pretty hefty refurbishment. So which attraction is going to get a little bit of a pick-me-up? It’s the notoriously frightening yet lovable Snow White’s Scary Adventures!
According to the Orange County Register, Disneyland has filed for a building permit with the city of Anaheim to undergo a $445,000 refurbishment on the classic dark ride in 2020. This doesn’t seem like a TON of money for an attraction refurbishment, so we’re interested to see what Disney does in terms of change and restoration.

The permit states that crews will “remove and replace show elements, install new structural beams, refurbish rock work and make electrical upgrades.” All that seems pretty behind the scenes but it does hopefully mean we’ll be enjoying the ride for years to come!
But, one part of the permit makes us think we might see a few changes to the ride experience after the refurb. The permit mentions new projector platforms which could mean new lighting and visual effects on the ride.

We’ll have to wait and see though! The refurbishment should take place in 2020 but there’s no word on when the ride will be closed or how long the work will take. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we find out!
