REVIEW! A Spooky Apple Tart Materializes in Disneyland!
We’ve discovered so many of our favorite treats from Disneyland’s Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, including the totally delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Hand Pie.
During our most recent visit to The Happiest Place on Earth, we spotted something NEW at Jolly Holiday — the Apple Tart!
This dessert features cinnamon mouse, caramel, a soft apple slice layer (like what you would find in an apple pie), and green “cheesecake”-like crust, and it’s topped with green colored chocolate inspired by the poison apple design.
Everything about this tart was great! The apple cinnamon mousse was subtle in flavor, yet the taste of both the apple and cinnamon was obvious. The mousse mixed with the taste and textures of both the soft Apple pieces and the crust went very well together. The crust, which was slightly green in color, did not taste too much different from a traditional cheesecake crust, which wasn’t a let down at all because it still tasted great.
To avoid flattening the tart, we removed the green-colored chocolate before cutting into the dessert. The green chocolate was cold and hard, so when we first started cutting into it with the chocolate on top, it started to smash the whole tart. So we had the chocolate last…sort of like dessert after the dessert!
You can grab this tart for $5.49 before an Annual Passholder discount!
