What’s New in Disney Springs — Halloween Cakes, Construction Updates, and Galaxy’s Edge Merch!
Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another roundup of What’s New in Disney Springs.
We’ve got plenty of merch, food, and construction updates for ya, so let’s dive right on in!
Disney Springs Food Update
When is cake ever a BAD idea?? Amorette’s Patisserie is always a great first stop when you get to Disney Springs, especially since they have new Halloween cakes out for spooky season!
The Pumpkin Minnie Cake is a jack-o-latern full of your choice of chocolate or lemon chiffon cake, milk or white chocolate mousse, and orange or strawberry pate de fruit jelly!
(The eyelashes and bow are just TOO CUTE!!)
Pair Minnie with the Frankenstein Mickey Cake, each for $59!
We’re kinda digging the scar and bolts look for the Monster Mouse!
If you’re looking for a terrifying treat, snack on the Halloween Petit Cake for $18!
Creamy pumpkin mousse and Chantilly cream are combined with the vanilla chiffon cake, topped with pecans and a little pumpkin sweet!
Our favorite Wookiee is even making an appearance in the bakery case with the NEW Chewbacca Cake!
Complete with chocolate chiffon cake, milk chocolate mousse, orange pate de fruit jelly, and lots of fur (don’t worry — it’s icing!), you can take home the co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon for $59.
B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. has introduced a new deal! If you purchase a frozen beverage in addition to your hot dog, you can save $1.99!
Who’s up for a Texas-Chili Cheese Dog and Frozen Sweet Tea Lemonade?
Learn more about B.B. Wolf’s discount deal here!
Got a sweet tooth? Candy Cauldron has got you covered with their bakery case filled with Halloween treats!
We even spotted some Star Wars Rice Krispie Treats in-store! (That Porg is so cute, we want to buy one just to look at it!)
Speaking of Star Wars treats… The Ganachery is serving up Millennium Falcon Milk Chocolate Pops in honor of the grand opening of Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World!
Dusted in silvery glitter…
… and sprinkled in candied pearls, the chocolate take on the fastest ship in the galaxy is a delicious dessert for $6.50! It should be available through September 7th.

We couldn’t help but want a little more chocolate, so we popped over to get the FREE chocolate square of the day at Ghirardelli! All that Milk Chocolate Fudge Caramel had us wanting seconds!
It’s finally here!! Orlando Magical Dining Month has made its way into Disney Springs. From August 23rd until September 30th, you can purchase a 3-course meal for $35 at participating restaurants to support local charities.
New to this year’s line-up, Jaleo has released its menu for the event!
Pick your appetizer, entrée, and dessert from their sizable list of options!
What do you think you’re going to munch on during Jaleo’s Orlando Magical Dining event??

With PSL season in full swing (thank goodness!), Joffrey’s hopping onto the sweet and spicy train with the Pumpkin Créme Brûlée Cold Brew Coffee for $4.09! You can even add an additional Pumpkin Pie or Caramel Flavor Shot for 60 cents more!
Put on your dancing shoes because we’re heading to The Great Irish Hooley at Raglan Road!
Sadly, this event was only around for Labor Day weekend, but we enjoyed drinks…
… dinner…
… dessert…
… and entertainment!
Learn more about The Great Irish Hooley in our review here!
Over at Sprinkles, the Circus Animal Cupcake made a quick appearance for Labor Day Weekend.
But, don’t worry! You can still grab one of the Pumpkin Cupcakes, just in time for fall.
The specially themed drinks at the Starbucks in Disney Springs make us want to try everything on the menu, especially since there are SO MANY new items out right now!
What better way is there to celebrate the opening of Galaxy’s Edge than with The Trooper Frappuccino from the Star Wars menu?? Or, maybe if you’re feeling a little blue about the end of summer (we definitely are), you can grab the Midsummers Ice Cream from the Summertime Sadness Specials!
You gotta trust the helpful baristas at Starbucks with their amazing drinks skills. That’s why everything on the Barista Favorites menu sounds delicious (we’re eyeing The Mad Tea Party, though)!
Need a sleek way to carry around your favorite drinks from Wine Bar George? Pick up the new Gun Metal Corkcicle! With its purchase of $30, you get a FREE Dole Whip Frozcato, Frosé, or Freaujolais (sounds like a win-win to us).
Disney Springs Construction Update
In case you missed it, Hurricane Dorian has caused some closures and cancellations in Walt Disney World. During our visit to Disney Springs, we noticed that the Aerophile had been lowered in preparation for the storm.
We also noticed that Curl, located in Disney Springs’ West Side, had closed. We’re not sure what will take its place but we’ll let you know as we learn more information!
The sign said “Something New Is Coming Soon”, so hopefully it won’t be long until we learn more details.
Bongos Cuban Cafe closed its doors as well, just as we expected it would.
“Something new” is coming here as well, so we’ll keep you posted as we learn more!

Pair him with some red and green Christmas trees…

… and green shades of pine!
Days of Christmas
Is it ever too early to start talking about Christmas? Days of Christmas doesn’t think so with the release of the Spaceship Earth and Skyliner Ornaments!
Since we’re less than a month out from the opening of the Skyliner Gondola System, it’s no surprise these little guys are making a high-flying debut in the store!

… The Haunted Mansion…
… and even Star Wars! Porgs and Chewbacca have our hearts.

In the NBA Store, we noticed that there were more basketballs for dribbling around the store.
We also saw that they only have three mannequins now, and they were on a smaller platform than before.
Star Wars Galactic Outpost and Star Wars Trading Post
Both Star Wars Galactic Outpost and Star Wars Trading Post had Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge “Landing” merchandise available. We’ve seen this merchandise before, but we were glad to see it available outside Batuu!
We especially love this Galaxy’s Edge patch…
…and this Star Wars MagicBand!
We can’t forget to mention these limited edition Galaxy’s Edge pins! You can grab each one for $15.99.
