What’s New Around the Disney World Resorts — Specialty Cocktails, Disney Vacation Club Merch, and MORE!

Welcome back to another roundup of What’s New at Disney World’s Resorts!

Wilderness Lodge

Today, we’re exploring everything new (including a bunch of merch!) at Old Key West Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, and Wilderness Lodge.

Let’s get started!

Old Key West Resort Food Update

We’ll kick things off at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, where we noticed a few changes to the drinks menu at The Gurgling Suitcase. Blue Hawaii, Goombay Smash, and Electric Lemonade are no longer on the menu, but Papa’s Den and Slappy Joe’s Bourbon Berry Lemonade have been added!

Gurgling Suitcase Specialty Cocktails

Another new drink called Unlimited Power was featured on a placard during our visit.

The Unlimited Power drink consists of tequila, blackberry brandy, sour mix, and agave with a glow cube for $13.50. We loved this cocktail! We thought it was the perfect blend of sweet and sour flavors. The tequila was refreshing and the blackberry came through well. Honestly, we wouldn’t mind drinking this all day long by the pool!

Unlimited Power Cocktail

The Papa’s Den cocktail features Jack Daniel’s, peach schnapps, cherry brandy, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine for $11.50. We couldn’t taste the Jack Daniel’s in this drink, but it was still sweet and  delicious. The cherry brandy came through strongly and it was a fun, tropical drink!

Papa’s Den Cocktail

Slappy Joe’s Bourbon Berry Lemonade combines Woodford Reserve Bourbon, blackberry brandy, and Odwalla Lemonade, with a splash of seltzer water for $12.50. This drink was very refreshing but strong! It wasn’t too strong, but we definitely felt like we got our money’s worth. It wasn’t super tart and we could taste a hint of the blackberry brandy. We’d definitely get it again!

Old Key West Resort Construction Update

Old Key West’s main parking lot is finished and there is so much more room! Now, there are 10 spaces for 30-minute parking for check-in and there’s plenty of parking for other guests as well.

Wilderness Lodge Food Update

For our final stop on our resorts walk, let’s head to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge! In Roaring Fork, we noticed a new Caramel Cupcake in the bakery case. The popular Campfire Cupcake is, thankfully, still available.

We think Roaring Fork will welcome a fall or Halloween-themed cupcake soon, so we’ll keep an eye out!

Geyser Point To Go has its frozen machine back up and running, so that means Raspberry Dole Whips — sort of!

Cast Members told us they’re hoping to get an ice cream machine but until then, Raspberry Dole Whip mix is in their frozen drinks machine.

Northwest Berry Whip

The sweet treat — which Geyser Point calls Northwest Berry Whip — tasted the same as the Raspberry Dole Whip we know and love but with a different texture. We only had the option to get it in a cup, but it was delicious!
