NEWS: Goodbye to Club Cool! Epcot’s Transformation is Officially Underway!

When one door closes, another one opens…

Club Cool

And the doors are closing to Club Cool in Disney World. (Raise your hand if you’re as sad as we are!)

Previously called Ice Station Cool, Club Cool first opened in Epcot’s Future World in 1998 as a themed polar exploration. However, it was refurbished in 2005 as a place to cool off all puns intended and try different sodas from around the world. How awesome is it to be able to say you were sipping on a lil sumthin’ from Zimbabwe?!

Club Cool Sodas

Unfortunately, Club Cool is one of the places in Epcot closing for the HUGE park transformation, along with other areas like Mouse Gear, Fountain View, and Electric Umbrella.

ICYMI, one of Club Cool’s most infamous drinks was Beverly, the bitter soda from Italy that tasted like…well, let’s just say it wasn’t really our favorite. And, while we’re not entirely sure if we’ll miss this specific flavor, we know that some of you guys LOVED it.

Beverly!

But, just because Club Cool is closing, it doesn’t mean you have to part with all the sodas it featured. If you head on over to the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Bar in Disney Springs, you can get your Beverly fix, alongside other drinks like…

Coca-Cola Store Orlando

Bibo Kiwi MangoFanta Melon Frosty, VegitaBeta, MezzoMix, and Lift Apple! (Note that they’re not necessarily for free like they were at Club Cool.) If you are a huge fan of these unique flavors, you can get them in the massive refillable Coke Bottle for $8 for the bottle, $3.25 for your first fill, and $1 plus tax for every refill!!

Drink Options From Around the World at the Coca-Cola Store

You can even try the alcoholic twist on Beverly with Hendrick’s Gin, Blackberry Liqueur, Cherry Syrup, Mint, and Orange Slices for $13. Check out our review of Beverly’s Revenge to see whether or not we liked the new take (hint: it was an unexpected surprise)!

Beverly’s Revenge

While we have been told that Club Cool will return in another incarnation during the Epcot transformation, we know it won’t be the same as before. Maybe there will be an actual Coca-Cola store in Epcot to replace it in the future?

Check out the other must-see attractions in Disney World and Disneyland closing soon here!

With a heavy heart (and plenty of empty paper cups later), we bid farewell to Club Cool. We’ll miss you, old friend!
