News! Disney World Theme Parks Will Reopen Wednesday, September 4th Following Hurricane Dorian Closures
In case you missed it, in preparation for Hurricane Dorian, Disney World announced early closures for its four theme parks for today, September 3rd. Operating hours were later extended for Epcot and Disney Springs, but all other parks were closed by 3 PM.
Now, we have some good news to share, because all four theme parks and Disney Springs will reopen tomorrow, September 4th!
According to an update on Disney World’s website, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will both reopen at 8 AM, with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot set to follow suit at 9 AM.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to roll into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at 6 AM for Extra Magic Hours, but thankfully Extra Magic Hours WILL be available in Magic Kingdom tomorrow evening. And, the wait times have been pretty short during our recent visits to the parks, so perhaps the shorter lines will stick around tomorrow as well.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated if and when we have any more Hurricane Dorian news to share, but in the meantime, learn what you need to know if a hurricane threatens Disney World.
