Disney World’s Little Known Twilight Feast Is The Best $60 You’ll Spend (In Bed)
‘Ohana makes a lot of DFB’s top lists. Great restaurant for first timers. Tasty spot for large groups. Hot spot for families. Regular haunt for food bloggers. (That last one might be a little more niche, actually… .) This table service restaurant atop Polynesian Village Resort‘s Great Ceremonial House appeals to multiple senses. It’s got stunning views, irresistible aromas, and — oh, yeah — delicious ‘Ohana Bread Pudding.

But what if you want to dig into some ‘Ohana dinner goodness, but you’re also equally looking forward to hanging out in your pajamas in your room at the Poly? That’s when you want to pick up the phone, dial In-Room Dining, and order the Twilight Feast. This food delivery brings all of the ‘Ohana edible goodness right to your room.
Your ‘Ohana Could Save Big at ‘Ohana!
Eats
Since the atmosphere for Twilight Feast is your Polynesian-inspired room, we’re skipping right to the eats. The In-Room Dining menu consists of things like sushi, Pan-Asian noodles, sandwiches, and more. But when the skies opened up on a recent stay at the Polynesian and I knew I wasn’t going anywhere else that night due to serious stormage, I focused in on a singular interest: the Polynesian Twilight Feast. This is part of the dinner menu, and it’s available from 5PM to 10PM, so if you want to time your Feast with views of Happily Ever After (lucky you with a theme park view!), you can!

When you place your order, you’ll specify how many will be enjoying the meal. I ordered for one — $60. That price seems pretty high (‘Ohana dinner pricing, after all, starts at just over $40), but when you see how much food it is, you’ll know that sharing… is entirely possible. And if you do split the Twilight Feast between two people, you’re looking at $30 each. To eat ‘Ohana food in your jams. In bed, if you so choose. Maybe it’s just us, but that sounds like luxury.
Here’s how the Twilight Feast arrives: a massive spread of covered food dishes, plus a carafe of ‘Ohana Sunset Punch (more on that below), two containers of sauces, a large pat of butter, utensils, dishware, and salt and pepper. (I ordered the diet cokes separately.)

Uncovered, you can see the large pan of sides and meats. For one diner. Plus a full bowl of salad, an entire loaf of Pineapple Coconut Bread, and a triangle of ‘Ohana Bread Pudding (note that the Twilight Feast only comes with one triangle — I ordered an extra serving…to see…yeah…to see if you could order Bread Pudding to your room even without the Twilight Feast…that’s totally why I ordered extra). Good thing we’re staying in tonight!

‘Ohana Sunset Punch is included in the price of your Twilight Feast. And it’s POG juice. Straight up delicious passion fruit – orange – guava juice that tastes like a tropical island. If you can’t finish this, do ask for In-Room Dining for a way to save it for breakfast! (I just stuck the whole carafe into the fridge.)

The Pineapple-Coconut Bread is identical to that served at ‘Ohana, and it’s just as fresh and carb-y.

The Mixed Greens with Lilikoi Dressing is a generous serving, lightly dressed and topped with crunchy chow mein noodles. For salad fans, this is a good and simple option.

Of course the piece de resistance is the pan Pork Dumplings (4), Honey-Coriander Wings (2), Stir-Fried Vegetables, Teriyaki Noodles, Sweet-and-Sour Chicken, Szechuan Sirloin Steak, and Spicy Grilled Peel-and-Eat Shrimp (4). This is an epic amount of food for a single diner, but shared (or not), there may be components you wish you had more of. There are only a couple pieces of each meat, four shrimp, four dumplings, and two chicken wings per person. So if these are your favorite items, it’s possible you could be disappointed. (You may ask to modify the serving to, say, get more chicken wings and fewer dumplings, and see if that works.)
But if you’re into ‘Ohana for ALL of the components and like to balance out those heavier meats with the sides and salad, this will definitely work for you. Oh: and it was delicious. Fresh, warm, flavorful — just what you want (but RARELY get) from In-Room Dining!

And finally, one of the biggest draws to ‘Ohana: Bread Pudding. The Twilight Feast version comes with a generous piece of bread pudding and caramel sauce. But no ice cream is included. So if it’s not ‘Ohana Bread Pudding without ice cream for you, you’ll need to order some of that, too.

The ice cream is Haagen-Dazs — a pint of vanilla so you can really go to town on that bread pudding swathed in melting ice cream!

The Bread Pudding itself wasn’t particularly warm, but the caramel sauce was, and so let the melting and oozing and drooling begin… .

Yup, it’s still the perfect way to end a meal! And since I went to the effort to double check…here’s a DFB tip: you can order ‘Ohana Bread Pudding all on its lonesome from In-Room Dining. No need to get the whole Feast if you’re just looking for a dessert! (But don’t forget the ice cream!)

I thoroughly enjoyed the Twilight Feast. From start to finish, the meal met my expectations for ‘Ohana’s food. Add to that the indulgence of ordering room service, being in such a fantastic Resort, with views of Disney’s Polynesia out the window, and you’ve got a pretty stellar night in at Walt Disney World.
Nosh or Not?
Order in the Twilight Feast if:
- You love ‘Ohana, but you don’t want to head over to the restaurant (or you couldn’t get an Advance Dining Reservation).
- The idea of enjoying a feast in your room is really what vacation is about to you — and yummy eats to boot!
- Those Happily Ever After views aren’t going to watch themselves from your theme park view room, and you’re hungry for something special.
Go another direction if:
- Even splitting the meal puts this one out of your budget.
- You’re not a fan of the ‘Ohana dinner offerings.
- That’s not enough meat for you, and you’d rather head to ‘Ohana proper for all-you-care-to-enjoy eats.
Overall
What. A. Feast. The Twilight Feast lives up to its name, with an obscene amount of food per person. I made it through about a quarter of the spread I received, and unless you’ve got major appetites, the Twilight Feast for one is most definitely shareable. The only caveat I’d add to that is that if you’re into ‘Ohana for plate after plate of grilled meat and shrimp, you’re not going to get that here; the scales are definitely tipped more toward the sides and starters. But we know a lot of our readers are into ‘Ohana for those sides (who could blame you with those chicken wings and noodles?!), and if that’s the case, Twilight Feast for one split between two diners means ‘Ohana dinner for $30 each — and that is pretty awesome.
Of course, Twilight Feast isn’t the full ‘Ohana experience. Your cousin isn’t there to get you things you need, the components aren’t All-You-Care-to-Enjoy, drinks other than POG juice aren’t included and will need to be ordered separately, and you don’t get the ambiance of that massive, aromatic grill or the views of Cinderella Castle (unless your room has them, in which case yea!). But if you don’t need those atmospheric elements, and you’re happy to leisurely enjoy ‘Ohana’s food in the comfort of your pajamas while watching Stacey’s Must-Do Disney tips, Twilight Feast could be a great deal, a great meal, and a great time.
