BIG DISNEY FOOD NEWS! Disney Announces NEW Plant-Based Vegetarian UPGRADES in Disney World and Disneyland!!

We’ve got some BIG news to share with all our vegetarian and vegan Disney food friends today! We all know how hard it can be to find restaurant options to satisfy everyone in your Disney crew, but throw in some special dietary needs, and you’re talkin’ big time Disney food challenge!

Plant-Based Felucian Garden Spread

Fortunately for those looking to eat a plant-based diet (or those looking to incorporate more plant-based dining), Disney has been making strides to include more vegetarian and vegan options across the Parks...but now they’ve taken it a HUGE step forward!

They introduced a plant-based dining guide back in April, letting guests know where they could find options that might work for them. (Read about the guide here!)

And they’ve even organized all-veggie food booths at Epcot’s festivals. Trowel & Trellis at the Flower and Garden Festival and Earth Eats at the current Epcot International Food and Wine Festival featured IMPOSSIBLE products and exclusively plant-based options.

And this morning, Disney Parks Blog made a MAJOR announcement regarding their vegetarian menu offerings: going forward, a vegetarian appetizer, entree, and dessert will be available now at every. single. table service restaurant at BOTH U.S.-based Disney Parks!

And it’s going to be easier than ever to spot these plant-based offerings on menu because Disney World and Disneyland will be applying a new leaf logo to all of their quick service and table service menus!

Plant-Based Logo

The logo will appear on menus at Walt Disney World first, in two phases. As of October 1, the logo will appear on quick service menus throughout the World. On October 3, all table service menus are expected to feature the logo as well. Disneyland diners will start seeing the logos in Spring 2020.

Disney Parks Blog also highlighted some of their 400+ current and new plant-based options including Steamed Asian Dumplings from Epcot’s Le Cellier, Shiriki Noodle Salad from Magic Kingdom’s Skipper Canteen, and the (delish!) Felucian Garden Spread at Hollywood Studios’ Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo!
