13 AWESOME Disney World Snacks UNDER $5 (Plus 4 BONUS Favorites!)
If you’re traveling to Walt Disney World and trying to stick to a budget, you’ve already discovered that it can be MAJORLY expensive to eat in the World.

And with so many irresistible snacks to try, you’ll need to figure out which ones give you the most bang for your vacation buck! That’s where we come in! Here at Disney Food Blog, we’ve tried ALL the snacks, and we’ve compiled for you 13 tasty treats that come in UNDER $5! BUT WAIT! Because we love you guys SO MUCH, we couldn’t stop there! We’ve included a few BONUS snacks that just barely missed the cut! We’ve arranged these from least expensive ($2.95) to most ($4.99) for convenience’s sake. And sure, there are food items in the Parks and Resorts that come in under $2.95, but we wanted to include a selection of those that we REALLY love eating and hope you will too!

Full Baguette $2.95 — Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, France Pavilion, Epcot
YES — we are totally recommending you buy yourself a whole loaf of bread! The Full Baguette at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie is everything you could ever dream of in a good loaf of French bread — a crispy brown crust and airy dough inside. This ain’t a fancy snack, but it sure is delicious and hearty. And, seriously, we know from experience that these are the freshest of the fresh. Just peek at the back of Les Halles to see the massive bread ovens baking new baguettes on the regular.

Stuff yo pockets full of complimentary butter and jam before you head out to jazz it up, or do like we do and splurge on the Bisque de Homard — Lobster Bisque — for $4.90. Find a seat and dunk to your heart’s content (bread is totally a soup spoon you can eat!). Given its size, the full baguette is easily share-able. Traveling solo? You can also request a Half Baguette for $1.85! Mais, oui, je t’aime, baguette!
Pineapple Lumpia $3.29 — Pongu Pongu, Pandora, Animal Kingdom
This fried, subtly sweet treat has been a staple at Pongu Pongu since the day it opened (with just a brief absence last year!), and visitors to Pandora have grown fond of this ‘alien’ treat.

Imagine a crispy spring roll stuffed with lightly sweetened cream cheese and pineapple, then rolled in sugar. (The inspiration for this treat comes from a popular snack food from the Philippines!) It may not look like much, but this is a not-crazy-sweet, satisfying snack we love. Best part: For $3.29 for one, it doesn’t break the bank! If you travel to Disneyland, you can find the Pineapple Lumpia at Disneyland’s Tropical Hideaway!

Roule Lard & Fromage $3.95 — Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, France Pavilion, Epcot
Roule Lard & Fromage is all the best things in life — bacon, cheese, and bread — for under $4! This savory roll makes a pretty stellar breakfast, in our opinion!

Even though World Showcase doesn’t open until 11AM, Les Halles opens daily at 9AM so you can always head back there for an assortment of great b-fast options! And heads up, bacon lovers, there’s SO MUCH bacon in every layer of this roll! The cheese takes a backseat here, but that is a-ok because: BACON.

Small Caramel Popcorn $3.99 — Karamell-Kuche, Germany Pavilion, Epcot
Karamell-Kuche in Epcot’s Germany is the home of all things caramel, and that includes the absolutely addicting Caramel Popcorn. The small bag of Caramel Popcorn is only $3.99, and the serving size is great for the price. Think: about the size of a bag of microwave popcorn, except make it Werther’s caramel!

We know lots of popcorn fans stock up on this treat to take home (usually in carry-on luggage so it’s safer… and within reach)! Know, too, that if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, both the small bag and the large bag ($5.99) are snack credit eligible.

Caramel Pecan Bar $4.29 and Caramel Butter Bar $4.49 — Karamell-Kuche, Germany Pavilion, Epcot
We’re not even leaving the caramel shop for this next entry on our list because Karamell-Kuche also sells two salty/sweet bars that we love! The Caramel Butter Bar was our first love, and though it has changed some over the years (it used to be called Caramel-Covered Shortbread and it was a little too buttery on our last visit — see that here), it’s still worth the price of $4.49.

But if you love the flavor and texture of nuts added to your sweets, the Caramel Pecan Bar at $4.29 really can’t be beat. See why the combo of salty pecans, sweet caramel, and shortbread make this our new bar!

Mickey Beignets $4.49 — Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, Port Orleans — French Quarter
The word beignet conjures images of golden fried pillows of dough covered in powdered sugar, and at Port Orleans — French Quarter’s Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, they get the Mickey treatment! Mickey Beignets just arrived in Walt Disney World last year after being a long-time guest favorite at Disneyland Park (previously the Florida version was a rectangular shape). And while they weren’t as pillowy as the original version, the Mickey Beignets were still delicious. At $4.49 for three, they’re also a reasonably-priced snack!

Nudel Gratin $4.49 — Sommerfest, Germany Pavilion, Epcot
When we first tried the Nudel Gratin six years ago, we loved it from the start (see why here!). And while the price has climbed since then (as with everything else at Walt Disney World), it’s still a terrific value. This is a baked macaroni and cheese savory custard — heavy on the cheese! It’s filling, and flavorful, and a must if you (like us!) love cheese in all of its forms.

Napoleon $4.50 — Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, France Pavilion, Epcot
We’re highlighting the Napoleon here, but many of the patisserie items at Les Halles are under $5, making this a fabulous spot to get a sweet treat. The Napoleon, though, is one of our favorites. The layers of puff pastry and custard are well-balanced, and it tastes like it should cost a lot more.

Other pastries we love here: the Frangipane and the Palmier (a cinnamon/sugar elephant ear dipped in chocolate). Both are also under $5!
Croissant Jambon Fromage $4.75 — Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, France Pavilion, Epcot
The savory Croissant Jambon Fromage (croissant with ham and cheese) is another stellar value — all the more so because it’s also got creamy bechamel sauce, too! The ingredients here are as high quality as we expect from Les Halles — and just look at all that cheese!

Whether you’re starting your day or snacking between meals, the Croissant Jambon Fromage is an excellent value.
Peanut Butter Pie $4.79 — Contempo Cafe, Contemporary Resort
The Peanut Butter Pie at Contempo Cafe is one of our favorite desserts on property — and it’s conveniently available at the Contemporary Resort’s quick service restaurant!

The crisp tart shell contains vanilla cream, a massive pile of peanut butter cream cheese filling, and lots of sweet garnishes. At $4.79 we say this is a must-get if you’re dining at Contempo Cafe. Mini Mango Pie $4.99 — Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe, Animal Kingdom
When we first tried the Mini Mango Pie, we had no idea this diminutive treat would knock us off our feet! It’s further proof that small can most definitely be mighty! In fact, we loved it so much we claimed it won the Animal Kingdom dessert wars (see that review here!), and we gotta say: it’s still in fighting form!

Creamy, sweet and tart filling marries perfectly with the slightly buttery graham cracker crust. If you think your crew will want a bite or two, make them buy their own because you’re not going to want to share.
Mini Donuts $4.99 — Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea Stands, Various Locations
Joffrey’s Mini Donuts hit the scene early this year, and we can’t get enough. For the price of $4.99, you can select four of these iced, often-seasonally decorated donuts to go with your morning cup of joe. The creative toppings and designs are all well and good — but we’re happy to report that these are also delicious! They’re classic cake donuts, and because they’re a quartet, they’re easily share-able… if you want. But if you eat ’em all, we won’t tell.

Dole Whip Cup $4.99 — Various Locations
We’re ending our under-$5 list with one of the quintessential Disney Parks treats: Dole Whip! This sweet and tart pineapple-flavored soft serve is non-dairy and super refreshing.

It used to be that you could only score your classic Dole Whip in a cup or float at Magic Kingdom (you’ll find it at Aloha Isle), but now you can also get it at Animal Kingdom’s Tamu Tamu Refreshments. Dole Whip is now also available outside of a Park at Polynesian Village Resort’s Pineapple Lanai and at Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs. We see Dole Whip at some of Epcot’s festivals, and it even made an appearance at Typhoon Tilly’s in Typhoon Lagoon Water Park!
All that’s to say: wherever you spot Dole Whip on the menu, it’s a good bet (and a good price!).
BONUS ROUND:
Chicken Fried Rice $5.25 — Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe, Animal Kingdom
Chicken Fried Rice might seem like an odd choice for a snack, but in a World of miniature donuts, caramel covered shortbread, and powdered sugar-coated beignets, a savory dish might be just the thing you need for balance.

The Chicken Fried Rice at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe is flavorful and huge. It’s definitely shareable or big enough to count as a meal, making it potentially a great bargain. Oh, and it comes in super-fun take-out containers.
Cinnamon Roll $5.29 — Gaston’s Tavern, Magic Kingdom
When Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom transformed into a Starbucks location, the MSB’s beloved Cinnamon Roll — absolutely drenched in icing and big enough to feed even the sturdiest of animated film characters — migrated over to New Fantasyland’s Gaston’s Tavern.

Here this Cinnamon Roll gets mixed reviews from DFB readers, but when you catch them on a good day, the Cinnamon Roll is a plate full of satisfaction covered in maple drizzle and sugary frosting. Oh, and there’s a cinnamon roll under the frosting, too, in case we didn’t mention that because #ooeygooeyfrostingeverywhere.

Cheshire Cat Tail $5.49 — Cheshire Cafe, Magic Kingdom
Flaky pastry twisted with rich chocolate chunks, baked golden brown, and drizzled generously with pink and purple icing. That’s the Cheshire Cat Tail. But while those words — flaky, chocolate, drizzled — might adequately describe the thing that is the Cheshire Cat Tail, they fail to convey truly the quality snack that is this funky Danish twist.

This thing is more than the sum of its parts! Suffice to say: it’s totally awesome, and we can’t pass by Cheshire Cafe without purchasing and devouring one. Read all about it here, then book a flight to get one for yourself.
Maple Popcorn $5.50 — Canada Popcorn Cart, Canada Pavilion
This freshly-popped corn is coated in sweet maple making the Canada popcorn cart a must-visit locale on this side of World Showcase. While you can get packaged flavored popcorn throughout the World, nothing beats the freshness of this Maple Popcorn. Get yourself a box or go for the refillable bucket (yes, you can refill with Maple Popcorn here for $1.75!), then prepare to stroll happily. You won’t regret it!

There you have it! Some of our favorite snacks and treats under $5…and a few that cost just a teensy bit more. Now, of course there are SO many more great snacks, but we had to stop somewhere! ;-D
We know it might seem like the Disney Parks can’t be conquered without breaking the bank, but with these snacky tips in your back pocket, you’ll keep some cash in your wallet — and you’ll be stuffed full of satisfaction (and carbs), too!
