What’s NEW?! Our First Look At Oga’s Cantina in Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

While Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge doesn’t open in Disney World until August 29th, we got our first look at the immersive new land today thanks to some members of our extended DFB family! And of course, no visit to the planet of Batuu is complete without a stop in Oga’s Cantina.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Let’s see what’s the same…and what’s NEW…at Oga’s in Disney World!

Atmosphere

Overall, Oga’s Cantina in Disney World looks very similar to Disneyland’s. Before we dive into everything we found, we want to note that you’ll get 45 minutes to enjoy the Cantina in Hollywood Studios, which is the same time allotment given in Disneyland.

The beverage taps, which serve the Cantina’s selection of pre-mixed beverages, looked quite similar. Note that Oga’s ONLY serves pre-mixed drinks, and most of them are pretty sweet and sugary.

DJ Rex is spinnin’ the tunes and jammmmminnnnn’ as he should be — same as in Disneyland’s version of the cantina.

The Worrt looked the same as well! In case you didn’t know, the Worrt produces eggs for Jabba Juice (you can spot the eggs in the bottom of the container here).

So let’s bang on the turbo and get this party started!

Drinks and Eats

The menu at Oga’s Cantina in Disney World is very similar to the location in Disneyland as well. We noticed a few price changes and updates on Disney World’s menu, though, that you need to know about before you head into the new land.

Oga’s Menu

First up, you’ll see that there aren’t any souvenir glasses mentioned on the menu at the moment. We were told that souvenir glasses will be coming in time for the land’s official opening on August 29th, but that they haven’t been shipped in quite yet. These are likely to include the Endorian mug that comes with the Cliff Dweller, and the Porg mug that comes with the Yub Nub. The Rancor Tooth beer flight board was not available on our visit, either, but we were assured it would be on the menu soon.

Oga’s Cantina Menu

The Batuu Bits snack is nowhere to be found on Hollywood Studios’ menu, BUT Disney World has its very own alcoholic “provision” called the Rodian Ration ($13.50), which we haven’t seen on the Disneyland menu! This consists of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Dekuyper Pucker Sour Apple, green apple, Sprite, boba balls, and a pop. The non-alcoholic, gelatin-based Oga’s Obsession was served in a Petri dish in Disneyland, so maybe the Rodian Ration will be the intergalactic jello shot we never knew we needed!

Oga’s Obsession in Disneyland

During our visit to Oga’s, we tried several alcoholic concoctions: The Outer Rim, Fuzzy Taun Taun, Jet Juice, and Jedi Mind Trick. Unfortunately, Bespin Fizz was unavailable and the Beer Flight wasn’t on the menu yet as we mentioned. HOWEVER, a Cast Member told us the Beer Flight is coming soon.

The Outer Rim has the same ingredients as Disneyland’s version, although it looked a tad different this time around. The pink hue was a bit more visible when we enjoyed the cocktail in Hollywood Studios. Also, we paid $17 for it today, while it’s only $16 in Disneyland.

Next, we had the Fuzzy Tauntaun ($15), and our mouths went numb AGAIN! The ingredients were exactly the same as they were in Disneyland, although ours looked a bit more yellow and less orange this time. The Fuzzy Tauntaun is currently priced the same on both coasts.

The Jet Juice ($15) was one of our favorites of the night, thanks to the bourbon and hint of chili. This one (spoiler alert) is ALSO the same as Disneyland’s Jet Juice, but it’s priced one dollar higher at Hollywood Studios.

Jet Juice

Our other favorite was the Jedi Mind Trick ($15). We enjoyed the floral notes of this bright blue beverage here in Disney World’s edition of the land. The ingredients for this one are unsurprisingly identical, although it cost one dollar more in Disney World than it did in Disneyland.

We’re expecting a few menu changes by the time the land officially opens on August 29th — showcasing updated souvenir cups and possibly a new option or two. We’ll be back in Galaxy’s Edge soon and will keep you updated!

Overall

Aside from the price changes, the missing souvenir mugs, the beer flight, and the addition of the Rodian Ration provision, Hollywood Studios’ Cantina is very similar to Disneyland’s. Whichever coast you visit, you’re sure to be in for a rollicking time at Oga’s Cantina!
