What’s New in Animal Kingdom — Nala Feature Plush, a New Signature Cocktail, and MORE!
Welcome to our latest roundup of What’s New in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
It was another stormy day in Disney World, but that didn’t stop us from exploring the new items in the park!
Let’s get started!
Animal Kingdom Food Update
Africa
At Dawa Bar, we saw that the current specialty cocktail is the Amarula Kahawa. This beverage is made with Patron XO Cold Brew and Amarula and is topped with whipped cream. There is a similar African Coffee beverage found at Tamu Tamu Refreshments and Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery, but the Patron XO Cold Brew sets this one apart.
We didn’t see the Shave Ice cart during our visit, but they were selling the Shave Ice from the old Ribs Shop window in Harambe Market.
Multiple Locations
We checked out the bakery cases in Creature Comforts and Restaurantosaurus, and the Elephant Cupcake was still featured! This cupcake is so adorable so we’re glad it has stuck around!

Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update
Multiple Locations
In Riverside Depot and Mombasa Marketplace, we spotted the Nala Feature Plush ($99.99)! She talks, moves and plays music! We didn’t see the Nala version when the Mighty Roar Simba made his debut, so we were certainly glad to find her.
In various merchandise shops around the park, we saw a display for discounted Lion King tumblers. With any merchandise purchase, you can get a tumbler for $10!
How cute is the Timon tumbler?! We love the fact that it comes with a reusable straw.
In Riverside Depot, we spotted a Pandora — The World of Avatar iPhone case we hadn’t seen before! You can snag it for $29.99.
Before we left Animal Kingdom, we were happy to see Thumper meeting guests outside Creature Comforts! He’s so adorable.
