Photos and Review — NEW Menu at Lucky Fortune Cookery in Disney California Adventure!
A few days ago we told you that Lucky Fortune Cookery in Disney California Adventure had introduced an all-new menu, and today we’re back to share our review on some of the new items!!

And we hope you’re hungry…because this stuff is GOOD.
We have loved this often-overlooked location for a long time and are happy to see that it is getting the recognition it deserves. This small quick-service location can be found in the Pacific Wharf area of Disney California Adventure.

The previous menu had stuck around for about 10 years, but Lucky Fortune decided it was time for a change. Now, the build-your-own bowl experience is gone and there is a whole new assortment of meal options. Sadly, this takes the customization part out of the restaurant, but we think the new menu options are still really great.
The New Menu
The new menu features Teriyaki Chicken, Szechuan Chicken, a Beef Bulgogi Wrap, Vegan Banh Mi, and Pork Ramen. The side options include Chicken Wings, Pot Stickers, and Ramen Toppings.

Kids’ meals include Vegan Banh Mi and Chicken and Rice. A few new alcoholic beverage options have also been added to the menu, including the Lucky Dragon IPA and the Japanese Mule.

According to the chefs at Lucky Fortune, most of these meals are made from scratch, which is really great considering this is a quick-service location.

The first thing we noticed was that Lucky Fortune has done away with takeout boxes and is now serving the food on nice, thick, black glass plates. This really elevated the entire dining experience and made it feel less like fast food.

We love that many of these options are healthy alternatives to items from other quick-service locations in the park. So, let’s check out a few of the new menu items together!
Beef Bulgogi Wrap
The Beef Bulgogi Wrap ($13.99) is made with thin marinated beef, peppers, cabbage, and prawn crackers.

We have always loved the beef at Lucky Fortune Cookery and we were happy that this new beef option did not disappoint. The beef actually reminded us of the delicious meat found on Award Wieners’ Lava Fries.

Sadly, we weren’t too fond of the tortilla as it was tough to bite into, but we did enjoy the prawn crackers found inside the wrap. All of the veggies seemed fresh and the peppers didn’t make this wrap overwhelmingly spicy.

Szechuan Chicken
Speaking of spicy, if you love a bit of heat in your food then the Szechuan Chicken is THE way to go.

This meal is $12.99 and is served with steamed rice and sautéed veggies.

Not only was the spice nice, but we thought that the portion size was amazing for the price.

The Teriyaki Chicken is also served with sautéed veggies and steamed rice and costs $12.99.

The veggies and chicken were cooked well and tasted very fresh.

Our favorite part of the dish had to be the sauce; it wasn’t too sweet but added the perfect amount of flavor.

Now, onto the sides. We decided to check out the Pot Stickers ($6.49) this time around.

We were served four but thought they were quite small and a little overpriced. We did, however, think they were both crispy and yummy!

We also tried two of the new alcoholic beverage options — the Lucky Dragon IPA and the Japanese Mule.

Lucky Dragon IPA
The Lucky Dragon IPA ($10.00) is a Pacific Wharf-exclusive! This drink has 100% Citra hops and is made with locally-sourced oranges and lemons.

If you love citrus then you will enjoy this beverage — the orange and lemon flavors came through really well.
Japanese Mule
The Japanese Mule ($12.50) is made with Japanese whiskey, ginger beer, and simple syrup.

This drink is VERY sweet but we still enjoyed it and thought it paired well with the food.
Nosh or Not
The new Lucky Fortune Cookery Menu will be great for you if:
- You’re in the mood for a hefty, yet healthy meal
- You love Asian food and are looking for a different type of quick-service dining experience
- Want to Mobile Order
You can skip this meal if:
- You’re not a big fan of rice and veggies
- If you’re not super hungry
Overall
We honestly LOVED the new menu at Lucky Fortune Cookery. Everything felt very fresh and less like fast food, especially since the food was served on real dishes. The prices are not too high, which we really appreciated as well.
