NEWS! More of Epcot’s Space-Themed Restaurant Has Been Revealed!
Pilots, navigators, engineers, and commanders — we’re getting closer and closer to the projected 2019 opening date for one of Epcot’s newest restaurants. Guests will hopefully be able to blast off soon, especially since construction appears to have made some serious progress… .
The scaffolding that was once outside the upcoming space-themed restaurant has come down!
Disney has not yet announced a name for the restaurant, but it will be located between Mission: Space and Test Track. It will be helmed by the Patina Restaurant Group (who also run the restaurants in Epcot’s Italy pavilion as well as several locations in Disney Springs and the Downtown Disney District in Disneyland) and will offer a menu featuring internationally-inspired cuisine along with more than 1,000 bottles of the world’s finest wines and a wide selection of craft beer.
The kitchen will be run by Executive Chef Theo Schoenegger, who will be coming over from Mario and Enzo’s Restaurant in Disney Springs.
Although there isn’t a set opening date, Disney has said the restaurant will be open by the end of the year. We’re hoping this construction progress means it will open sooner rather than later!
