NEWS! Disney Releases Cover Art for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Cookbook

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been open in Disneyland for a while and it will officially open in Hollywood Studios on August 29th — though we’ve already been able to check out Oga’s Cantina, Boozy Blue and Green Milk, and new drinks at Docking Bay 7 and Ronto Roasters.

But now, you can learn how to create the food from the planet of Batuu from your very own home with the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge cookbook! We have shared a bit of information about this cookbook in the past, so you can read more about it here. But, today we’re excited to share the concept art for the cookbook’s front cover.

Disney describes the food of Black Spire Outpost as “farm to table” whole food rooted in deep cooking traditions that the locals have passed down through generations.

Written from the perspective of Strono “Cookie” Tuggs, who is the head of Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and was the “former head chef at Maz Kanata’s castle on Takodana,” the all-new cookbook will be your go-to source if you’re looking to recreate the meals and treats from Galaxy’s Edge.

According to Disney, “after his time on Takodana, Tuggs went on to operate a food freighter (known as “Tugg’s Grib” – a ‘traveling diner for diners traveling’) serving countless planets from across the galaxy.” And with this, Tuggs has gained a ton of knowledge on the galaxy’s culinary must-haves. And luckily, the cookbook should be perfect for chefs with a range of cooking skill levels.

And now, let’s check out the cookbook’s front cover! It reads, “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook.” And the food on the cover looks like it came straight from Batuu! We can’t wait to see what interesting recipes this cookbook has — can you?

It will be published by Insight Editions and is coauthored by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel and Marc Sumerak. You can expect to find it at Barnes and Noble, and on Amazon, and Indie Bound this November. If you’d like to preorder the book, you may do so here!
