NEWS! Disney Announces Televised Celebration of “The Little Mermaid”!
Life is the bubbles because Disney is giving us not one BUT two new renditions of The Little Mermaid.

That’s right merfriends, Disney has just announced The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live!, which is set to air on ABC this fall.
We already have the upcoming live-action to look forward to — which you can read more about here. Now, in celebration of The Little Mermaid’s 30th anniversary, Disney is going to bring the film we know and love to life right on your TV.
Of course, this will include a star-studded cast. We’ll get to go under the sea with Auli‘i Cravalho as Ariel, Queen Latifah as Ursula, and Shaggy as Sebastian. But, umm…who will Prince Eric be?! We need details, people!

But, this won’t be your typical ABC live performance. No, instead this will be a hybrid “with live performances from the special’s star-studded cast interwoven into the broadcast of the original feature film.”
We can also expect to see outstanding sets and costumes, in addition to music from the original film and its Broadway stage adaptation.

This televised version of The Little Mermaid is set for November 5th and will air from 8 to 10 PM EST.
