NEWS and Review: Batuu Bits Get an UPDATE at Oga’s Cantina in Walt Disney World — PLUS Rancor Teeth Have Arrived!
We’re back on Batuu and in its charming village, Black Spire Outpost, this time for an Annual Passholder preview. And when we stopped into Oga’s Cantina for our reservation this morning, we discovered a couple of new (and updated) options on the menu!

First, we couldn’t help but notice a massive (truly!) addition: the Rancor Beer Flight has been added to the Walt Disney World Oga’s menu! When we first visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge earlier this month (see our Oga’s visit here!), the Flight was missing from the menu with citizens of Batuu (aka Cast Members!) saying it was expected before the land officially opens August 29th.

And now it’s here! We tried the Rancor Beer Flight at Disneyland’s Oga’s (we HAD to!) where it costs $75 for a flight of the Cantina’s four beers served in Rancor teeth on a board designed to hold them. The only change to the Flight at Disney World? It’s $10 more expensive.

That’s right: you’ll hand over $85 for your board, its four (admittedly cool!) tooth cups, and the beer samples. We know that’s a little steep for most guests, but for a conversation piece that you can really use, it might be a must-have for some fans!

But the Rancor Beer Flight wasn’t the only new addition to Oga’s playful menu: Batuu Bits have got a new twist at Walt Disney World!

Yup, that’s a bowl of super-garlicky Chermoula Dip, and when we saw this on the menu, we had to have it! Disneyland’s version of Batuu Bits includes the Bits but not the dip (we’ll check on this to see if they update it!), and that’s a bummer because this dip of garlic, spices, and capers is crazy flavorful. Such a treat!

To dip in the chermoula: a whole bunch of stuff! We spotted lots of fried, crispy vegetables including carrots and green beans. (Think potato chips but also make it green beans and carrots.)

The fried lotus root was our least favorite dipper; it was a little tough for us, although the light spices on them were tasty.

Also joining the savory crowd: little chocolate meringues. These left us humming “one of these things is not like the other,” so while they’re fun and tasty, we don’t get it.

A surprise hit (at least for us) was the fried seaweed. It was basically just a salty chip, and with the chermoula, you’re not getting a lot of seaweed flavor.

Overall we were impressed by the upgraded Batuu Bits (even more so because they still cost the same as the plain Disneyland version: $8!). We’re anxious to see if Oga’s Cantina will step a little more fully into the food game (they still offer two options for breakfast — Rising Moons Overnight Oats and the Mustafarian Lava Roll), but even if Batuu Bits remain the only late-morning to Cantina closing snack on the menu, these are a fun and flavorful option!
