Get a First Look INSIDE Disney World’s New NBA Experience!
The NBA Experience in Disney Springs officially opens on August 12, 2019!

And, you can already check out the new NBA Experience store when visiting Disney Springs. To get you even more pumped for this slam dunk experience, Disney has released photos from INSIDE the location!!
So, let’s explore the photos and all there is to do at the new NBA Experience together.
According to Disney, a few opportunities include Dribble, which allows you to work on your ballhandling skills. The Dunk! activity allows guests to attempt to dunk on an adjustable rim. During the Shoot! activity, the court will transform and allow you to feel like you’re in your favorite team’s arena! Pretty cool, right?

Replay is an interactive activity that challenges you to make the right call! You will be challenged to do so for three different scenarios and will be able to check out the plays from different angles. Will you confirm or overturn the call? The choice is yours!
There will also be an arcade. Here, you’ll be able to play Pop-A-Shot, Trivia games, and more.

Disney has also tried their best to make this experience “all about the guest.” They’ve done this by having “almost every activity encourage you to be an active participant.” There is also a great deal of personalization throughout the experience. For example, your team’s logo will follow you throughout your visit and will pop up on signage and leaderboards. And, you’ll be able to choose different sized basketballs that fit the size of your hand.
The new NBA Experience is also going to be very “immersive.” Disney is pushing to make guests feel like they are really “stepping onto center court.” This is done with music, lights, and video monitors.

Disney has also strived to make this location as “authentic” as possible. Imagineers have done this by working closely with the NBA. They have also ensured that the hoops are regulation-sized.
There will also be a large amount of “interactive technology” at the NBA Experience. There will be large touchscreens in the Champions area, where you can check out league history and notes, photos, and video highlights from your favorite team.
