FIRST LOOK and REVIEW: We Tried the Boozy Blue and Green Milk Coolers at Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge!
So, do you guys remember when we shared that Boozy Blue and Green Milk Coolers would be offered at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
Well, a few members of our extended DFB family got the chance to try these iconic items today and shared their review! Let’s dig in!
First things first — what are blue and green milk? Well…as we already know, they’re not so much milk at all. Both Blue and Green Milk are non-dairy and plant-based frozen beverages made with coconut and rice milks. And we weren’t too impressed with either option when trying them in Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland — you can read our full review here!
The Blue Milk’s flavors were dull and we didn’t seem to taste the dragon fruit, pineapple, lime, or watermelon at all. And though the Green Milk had a bit of a citrus flavor, it tasted more perfume-y than fruity to us.
We did create a hack which helped make them taste a little better. You can view our Blue and Green Milk hack here!
But overall, we were pretty much done with blue and green milk…
…until YESTERDAY! When boozy blue and green milk were announced, we knew we had to try it! Note that the alcoholic versions of these drinks are served in square cups instead of round cups to differentiate them from their non-alcoholic counterparts. This is helpful for making sure young padawans don’t accidentally take a sip of your cooler!
The Blue Milk Cooler features Bacardi rum. And the Green Milk Cooler adds a bit of Corazon Blanco Tequila to the standard milk.
But honestly, our reviewers voted that BOTH flavors still fell flat. While we enjoyed the blue option over the green this time, we still felt like the flavors were dull.
The liquor did help punch it up a bit, but it still isn’t on our “favorite things to drink in Batuu” list.
Note that these spiked versions of the milks may not be able to be served in the souvenir milk jugs (once they arrive) at the Milk Stand — again because the alcoholic versions need to be differentiated from the non-alcoholic. Also…that would be a LOT of booze. Those milk jugs are big.
Now, these drinks are fun to snap pics with, but they’re a pricey photo prop to be sure. Each Milk Cooler is $14 and can be found at The Milk Stand.
If you are looking for something both photo-worthy and delicious, check out the Fuzzy Tauntaun or the Bespin Fizz.
And in case you were wondering!! Two new drinks have also made their way to the planet of Batuu at Hollywood Studios. These are the Takodana Quencher from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and the Coruscant Cooler which can be found at Ronto Roasters!
Stay tuned for our review of these!
